Jimmy's a bad, bad man:
Warpath is a cool character and I would like to see him in a regularly appearing role. His power-set makes him very useful. Also, I always liked the way Booboo Stewart looked as Warpath even though his moments were mostly forgettable. He only had like 4 lines but I do think he looked pretty cool at least.
We are the Dora Milaje. We are the daughters of the 18 tribes of Wakanda. We are the teeth of the Panther God. Out of 10,000 years of sweat and bloodshed and battle are we born. We are the women of this ancient land. Deadliest of the species. And our time has come!
Can you say Demon Bear?

Has Warpath ever displayed any mystical abilities?

Not really I don't think, but then again in recent X-Force runs he's shown some knowledge of it...
Unfortunately yes. Ghost Rider activated limited Apache shaman abilities within James, in order to help him fight the Demon Bear. After defeating the bear, those abilities went dormant. I don’t think any other writers has focused on those abilities. It’s very silly to have every Indian character have shamanic or mystical abilities. James is powerful enough.
Which X-series would you say has the most character development of Warpath?
James' first appearance in Uncanny X-Men, John Romita Jr style:
And a bit of original art. Don't know the signature:
