He didn't just fund them, he had his company scientists make them. And hey, who knows, given that Shaw is an accomplished engineer himself, he might've helped make them.

I am so excited!! Lourdes has a ton of potential and such a great base to build on.
The soap opera of it all is just delicious, tragic heroine dying to save the man she loves and then gets brought back years later to see the man is now...... Shaw.

Lourdes is CLASS. Also, and please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think she might be the only mutant co-created by the artistic genius of John Bolton, which puts her in a class of her own. I mean look at these pages! Very glad she's being brought back.

As I have said berfore...I am against the resurrection shtick...but since they have it lean into it and bring back every known (like Lourdes) or suspected (Jean Grey's sister Sara) mutant they can.

Get all the toys back in the toybox for when Krakoa goes kaput.

I love the idea of Lourdes coming back, but I hope this doesn't just lead into more of Emma stepping all over Shaw. I know he deserves it, and I'm sure it's satisfying to see, but it's honestly gotten boring from a story stand-point (imo). Sebastian hasn't even been a very effective villain in this series, he only managed one major victory before getting completely beaten down and humiliated (and again, well deserved). I don't really want to see him get dragged through more humiliation unless Duggan will actually do something interesting with it. Like maybe Lourdes' disapproval of the man that Sebastian has become leads to him reconsidering his actions. Or maybe it turns out that Lourdes completely sides with Sebastian over Emma and that starts the feud back up again. Or Lourdes steps up to a position of power in the Hellfire Club and gets some character development, that's great, too. Anything other than just "Sebastian is terrible, lets kick him as much as possible." Because he IS terrible, but we already had an entire issue devoted to him getting beaten up.
