so how many week's books are in the diamond warehouses? April 1st books for sure? How far ahead are they shipped from Marvel, DC, Etc. to diamond?

That's what I'd like to know.
"The Marvel EIC Chair has a certain curse that goes along with it: it tends to drive people insane, and ultimately, out of the business altogether. It is the notorious last stop for many staffers, as once you've sat in The Big Chair, your pariah status is usually locked in." Christopher Priest
There was no official announcement, but the guy behind ComicHub did say that publishers were on board with the idea at first until they weren't anymore. That was after news were out and, of course, retailer response was mostly negative. It's not a reach to assume there was a correlation there.
Marvel is very blatantly straddling the fence to see what the competition does here. It's not a coincidence that they remained completely silent (save for that supposed "brilliant plan" they were cooking up that we still have yet to see) until DC officially put all their books on freeze.
Like I said some days ago, this is basically just a standoff now until someone pulls the trigger and decides to release stuff digitally just to get some sort of revenue stream going again. Nobody wants to take the plunge and be the first one because retailers screamed at DC when they were going to go through with it.
It'll be interesting to see if it's a non-Marvel or DC company that cracks first. Marvel and DC at least have the benefit of being small subsidiaries of much larger mega corporations, while some of the indies don't have that kind of safety net.
So no new comics this week?
Not from Marvel anyway. Does anyone like 2000AD? That's still out.
