Every day is a gift, not a given right.
I loved this story as a kid:
"How does the Green Goblin have anything to do with Herpes?" - The Dying Detective

Comic fans get the comics their buying habits deserve.
"Opinion is the lowest form of human knowledge. It requires no accountability, no understanding." -Plato
Great contest idea.
Here is mine.

I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:
Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.
What a great contest topic! Thank you Ajax and everyone for the fun covers.

Actually reminds me of an infamous Conan cover.

Aw! How sweet. You remembered! Love the theme!
I love that Don Rosa wrote that they're really two of Donald's true friends, as most tend to use and abuse poor Donald without viewing him as an equal.

I had several options, but decided to go with this one since I've been itching to try and go to Disney World again (someday).
Interesting challenge this week. A much better Donald than the one I was afraid this was about...

Just a reminder that there is still time to submit your cover if you haven't already
