    Congrats to WBE!
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

    Missed the vote, congrats worstblogever
Appropriately a Duck in a Bunny-suit runs off with the prize!

And always nice to see any love for the 3 Caballeros out there.

Congratulations to worstblogever for a cover which combined the questions "What the duck?" and "Why a duck?".

The peak of the week where the colorful captain explains what he has learned is again somewhat lacking this week. He apologizes. Donald Duck is, indeed, the everyman of the Disney cartoon empire. He allows us to laugh at our foibles and to recognize those flaws in our character and with our very natures. He lives his live, as fraught with circumstances and bizarre family members as ours are. Of all the Disney characters I have met, Donald is the most ... human.

As for "Why a Duck?" skip to the 3:05 minute mark. Couldn't find an isolated clip but it's all Chico's best moments. This one and the contract scene from A Night at the Opera are my favorites. Enjoy everyone.

    Runners up

Guicho - I loved the 3 Caballeros cartoons
Shalla Bal - that wrap around cover must be pretty rare
    Nschornhorts - Love the setting
Thanks for the shout out, Iron Maiden.

I've noticed there are other Disney wraparound covers from Dell, mostly for the giant-sized summer (vacation) issues and also for winter holiday issues. I've posted another example below. These giant issues were not just comics -- they were events!

You're welcome Shalla Bal. I always thought that the wraparound covers started in the 80s or so. Now I see that Dell was being very innovative there! The art looks painted too. Do you know the background on that?
