Alpha Flight lineup

Let's say they were going to launch a new Alpha Flight book.



What kind of team lineup would appeal to you? Stick with the classic team? New characters? A mix of classic and new? A mix of classic and new, but leaning more toward one or the other? A mix of past attempts (not new, but not classic either) and new? Classic & past attempts? A Northstar led team of Quebec separatists?

I'd like it to be like the early 2000's JSA book with old members sort of mentoring new members.

Madison Jeffries in (and occasionally out of) The Box armor.
Heather in a supporting role but she still has her own armor stashed away in case she needs to pull everyone’s butts out of the fire.

Mix of classic, new, and one or two established characters that have never been members of the team before.

Are there any established Canadian heroes that have never been on Alpha Flight? I’d go for a classic lineup with some new blood mixed in to keep it fresh... but it’d be cool if that new blood had some previous experience.

Also, I’d like it to follow up on Validator and Omega Flight. Hickman didn’t even ever really try to make that go somewhere lol.

^Snowguard, a member of the Champions. Carol's version of AF appeared in her debut arc but she chose to join the teen team instead of ending up with the cadets - she wanted to be an active hero, not stuck in training. She's a fan of AF though, she named herself after Snowbird and Guardian and pretty much has the same powers as Snowbird.

Don't care as long as Major Mappleleaf and Stitch are on the lineup. These two characters were criminally ignored.

That's probably the best lineup, but I may go without 3 magic characters (Just Talisman), and maybe only one of the twins (Aurora) to make room for a couple newer characters.

While I know the newer characters have fans, the “all new roster” “mix of old and new roster” has just never seemed to work too well.
PPL want Saved By The Bell, not Saved By The Bell The College Years, or Saved By The Bell The New Class.
