Hi gang - a note to confirm that Dane is definitely in this week's US Avengers, and for a longer appearance than his previous one panel cameo earlier in the run.

That was interesting...so glad to see Dane, even if we don't know how he got there. Or why he and the other Euroforce members weren't identified. My, how the Baby Killer has grown!

It's obvious how he got there - he's been working with Euroforce for years, and the whole team got captured. The Champions of Europe (Ares, Guillotine, and Outlaw) and the other remaining heroes were outnumbered and outgunned until Doreen and Aikku showed up.

He's supposed to still be in Weirdworld! How is he suddenly in Paris?

The rest of the team probably got in touch when the **** hit the fan. He rejoins them, only for them to get captured soon after.

I guess that works. But Weirdworld is supposed to be a hard place to get to and from. On the other hand, Dane is pretty damned smart, so maybe he found a way to communicate with and travel to Earth.

Not necessarily. The Avengers were able to get in and out easily enough when they pursued Dane there. And Thundra went back and forth from Weirdworld a few times during the SQUADRON SUPREME series.

In any case, yeah, I figure someone contacted Dane to recruit his help during the Hydra takeover, whether it was someone in Euroforce, or whether it was Faiza, or Captain Britain, who knows.

Agreed - I'd rather have him back on the table for appearances like this, than stuck in Weirdworld until someone decides to tell the story of how he got out.

gawd, I hope Johns didn't actually make the misstep of using Jack of Hearts instead. Dane would have been perfect for the Lionheart of Avalon stuff.
