Default What Wonderful Back-Issue Indies Are You Reading in this time of Drought?

I've gone back to re-read, an issue each a night if I've time, the incredible Dark Horse Presents, with Concrete, Trekker, Bob the alien, Bacchus, Predator v. Alien, Crash Ryan and--
and have just started reading Alex + Ada after, it turns out, seven (!) years and it's still immediately immersive and engaging. My third title's The Dreaming, first series, which, given its content and direction(s) and Vertigo pedigree shows as much independence as I need.

And you--how're you quenching that thirst for engaging fine comics?
Age/Bronze, Age/Reptiles, Alex&Ada, Anne Bonnie, Astro City, Bone, Briggs Land, Cerebus, Criminal, Courtney Crumrin, Eleanor & the Egret, Fables, Fatale, Fell, Grass Kings, Green Valley, Goon, Gotham Midnight, Groo, Hellboy, Hillbilly, Incognegro, Jack Staff, JL8, Jonah Hex, Kane, Lazarus, Little Nemo, Lone Wolf, Next Wave, Popeye, Powers, Princess Ugg, Resident Alien, SiP, Squirrel Girl, Stray Bullets, 10G, Thief of Thieves, Tuki, Uncle Scrooge, Usagi, Velvet

I snagged the first volume of Destiny NY on Comixology a couple weeks back, LOVED it, and bought volume 2 just yesterday because I needed more.
I still miss Renee Montoya. Oh, and I'm a dude.

Hello..I've recently discovered Boom Studios comics and have been picking up recent back issues of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I was slow to pick up on this latest version but am up to speed now...need to catch up on companion comic Angel, but I'm looking to get Once & Future by Kieran Guillen.

Anyone have thoughts on these? I'm enjoying Buffy, but Once & Future will be new to me...anyone picking this up?

I think it's early yet on Boom's take on Buffy, it's a bit of a different direction but still using the classic characters..I'm just glad that they're still being brought to life in 2020, 17 years after the show finished!

I'm impressed with the visual quality of the comic, loving those painted artwork style covers by Taylor, Aspinell and Frison...and the artwork on the inside isn't bad either..I like Dan Mora's work...

wow--never saw/sure don't remember Shooter's Fatale, though I know I got some Broadway comics at the time.
Q&W somehow never caught my attention, either.
But Axel and Mysta? Oh yeah, them I remembers, with much fondness.

Just finished the Whisper Omnibus, which reprints the early stories of the character created by Steven Grant. Really, really enjoyed it (moreso than I thought I would). A definite overlooked gem.

I know, right?! Never thought anything from Shooter would be considered obscure.

Sorry to hear about that. I heard Priest has quite the following.
