Scenario A) The movies themselves (original trilogy vs. 2014 reboot).

Scenario B) The two cyborgs go at it, with full (((STANDARD))) armaments and equipment ('87 gets his Jetpack while 2014 gets the motorcycle).

Hmmm, what does 2014 Murphy's armaments have that packs a punch since I have yet to actually see the film?

Original Murphy was a tad slow but he sure as Hell is built like a tank, walking through rooms of gunfire. First film, one of the few times he gets nearly killed is when he's practically crippled due to his programming which left him vulnerable. Second film, took a heck lot of prep work in order to dismantle him. Third film...Yeah, I can recall he kinda got nerfed, crippled by a sudden explosive round.

Otherwise, I may have to watch the actual 2014 film before I can really make my own opinion on this match.
