    Default Favorite Batman Villain

So I love Batman and his rogues. Most of them are pretty interesting and I have a great time reading their stories. So out of his long list of rogues who is your favorite and why?

I love The Scarecrow. A very underrated villain I think. I love the idea of turning someones fears back on them and I love villains who mess with people's minds and get in their head. He is not at all the best fighter or the strongest but he could do a lot of damage.

    So who is your favorite?

    Definitely Two-Face...

...because he's such a complex character.

    Mr. Freeze.
    Least his original incarnation.
Because the motivations for his actions always brought about the question of "what makes a villain?"
Nowadays the villain's all seem to be almost one-trick ponies; being driven mainly by their want for causing chaos.
Guess Riddler is still true to an extent of wanting to be the smartest guy in the room.

    Joker
    Two-Face
    Mr. Freeze
    Clayface
    Man-Bat
    Poison Ivy
    Scarecrow
    Ra's
are the names that came up first

Eliminate Mr. Freeze coz you can only use him once
Eliminate Ra's because I want the villain to stay in Gotham
    Eliminate Joker because he's overdone
Eliminate Ivy because she has a point
Eliminate Man-Bat because you can only play the accidental beast angle so often

    So it comes down to
    Two-Face
    Clayface
    Scarecrow
Eliminate Clayface because I like his friendship with Cassandra Cain

    The Semi-Finalist
Two-Face is more personal and complex but I feel like he can be an ally as much as a hero, which is a very good thing, but we're talking villains.
Meanwhile, Scarecrow can be an eternal villain because there's no end to fear. Even if he can't affect Batman effectively because of the antidotes, he can still be very dangerous to other people. His design is puny but can be made cool, and even with the puny design, the fear gas can do the work. There's also a potential of some surreal artwork with fear gas.

    Scarecrow it is

Oh, wait I forget Riddler, Bane and Penguin.
Making Riddler's story is hard because you need to make him super smart and a lot of writers aren't that smart, also he's annoyingly narcissistic which is also his weakness, so I don't really like that trait.
Bane, they always fall for the gimmick of Breaking Things
Penguin, he's better as a boss, but that means they have to make a story with subtlety. Same with The Court, and I don't trust most DC writers with subtlety.

    Yeah, it's still Scarecrow.

But Two-Face though... I honestly I'm more likely to enjoy a Two-Face story than a Scarecrow story because of the complexity

Ok ok Scarecrow is very good.
But you missed some of the best, that spawn the greatest detective stories, The Riddler, Mad Hatter, Anarky, Black Mask and Professor Pyg !

I'll go for Professor Pyg. I loved that he was the main villain in Beware the Batman.

Mr. Freeze or Two-Face probably. I also love the Riddler but haven't read a truly great story with him.

Bane, followed by dr Hugo Strange
"The Batman is Gotham City. I will watch him. Study him. And when I know him and why he does not kill, I will know this city. And then Gotham will be MINE!"-BANE

"We're monsters, buddy. Plain and simple. I don't dress it up with fancy names like mutant or post-human; men were born crueler than Apes and we were born crueler than men. It's just the natural order of things"-ULTIMATE SABRETOOTH
