Even John Stewart as a new version of the Green Lantern feels like he has been expanded enough to stand on his own, despite what you said. Then again, I suppose some fans feel even they could get a lot more attention than what they’re already getting.
John's always been second to Hal. Kyle's the only one who ever replaced the other GLs for any length of time - even Alan was no longer a GL, he changed his name to Sentinel.

Not all the Champions are teen counterparts of other heroes, though the starting six mostly were. Kamala doesn't have the same powers as Carol despite using her old Ms. Marvel codename (Carol's a flying brick with energy blasts, Kamala is like a mix of Giant-Man and Mr Fantastic). Locust is a legacy in-universe but was created just for the book. Pinpoint is completely original. They have a girl called Bombshell (same name as a former Teen Titan, lol), she shares her villainous mother's powers and name but they debuted at the same time. Brawn and Ironheart at least have original names despite being Hulk and Iron Man legacies.

DC does do successors too - especially in the Trinity's families.

That's my favorite issue. Especially when they explain why the Trinity are making certain choices for characters to be on the team. Really love when Superman and Batman have to address Supergirl, Powergirl, and Nightwing being possible members of the league.

I liked the forming of Dick and Donna’s Justice League.

I liked that while "The Trinity" were sitting around judging other heroes, the "Other Trinity" - Hal, Ollie and Dinah actually went and created a new League anyway.

Quite a number of them were originally published by Quality, though the one people are most likely familiar with today is Plastic Man:

    Graduation Day:

It had so many perfect moments:
-Cassie and Conner being back together
-the battle between TT and JL which was stopped by Nightwing
-Bart trying to convince Cassie to stay
-Conner and Clark connecting (it was actually one of the very best CLARK and CONNER Family moments)!!!!!

Its not only perfect in terms of team building, but also in terms of mentors/protegees: Diana-Cassie, Wally-Bart, Batman-Tim Drake and especially Clark-Conner...

Well, worth mentioning is this associate of the All-Star Squadron who wasn’t shown there, Amazing-Man (All-Star Squadron #23, July 1983):

Technically you can say that Flash and Green Lantern have female successors too, but they aren't the primary heroes of those names (Avery Ho and Jessica Cruz, who never replaced their golden or silver age counterparts).
I don't know if these count or not:

Johnny Thunder - Jonni Thunder and Jakeem Thunder
    Wildcat - Yolanda Montez
    Dr. Mid-Nite - Beth Chapel/Dr. Midnight
Dr. Fate - Eric & Linda Strauss and Khalid Nassour
    Hawkman - Northwind
    Green Lantern - Jade
    Guardian - Manhattan Guardian
    Batman - Huntress
    Superman - Power Girl
    Crimson Avenger - Jill Carlyle

Returning to the OP, I'm pretty partial to this one:
