Strange. I usually don't equate Alan Scott with magic.

But the line up looks great.

I like Detective Chimp, often associated with the JLD:

You should, since Alan's Ring is Magic, based on the magic of the Starheart.

My favorite version of Supergirl is the one that was literally an angel with the power of the shechina.

Required reading: The Books of Magic mini-series by Gaiman.
And at least Swamp Thing #49 and 50 of the American Gothic story (featuring the real JLD before the JLD).

Wouldn’t be surprised if some of the concepts used for Superman first came about with Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster creating their Dr. Occult stories. In fact, they were actually the ones to introduce vampires in the DC Universe as well (More Fun #7, January 1936):

Not that much. It's Alan Moore who redefined Swamp Thing, and added all the part about the Green and beiing its Avatar.
Before that he's just a scientist who got mixed-in chemical in a swamp during an explosion and that is roaming the world to find an answer about his condition.
None the less, The 1st part of the Bronze age is excellent, written by the great Len Wein and drawn by the fantastic Bernis Wrightston:

Justice League Dark will be coming to HBO as a series produced by J.J Abrams

Personally, I'd have preferred Shadowpact but this is good news for DC's mystical corner nonetheless.
