Well he's got his powers form a wizard.
But, other than changing into and out of Captain Marvel with "Shazam!", he's got no ohter magical powers.
So I don't know if he can fit in here.

That might have been the case in the past the Nu52 Shazam can perform magical feats, but just doesn't know how his powers work. Shazam(Wizard) is dead and there isn't anyone to really teach him anything.

Doesn't having aspects of Gods give him a supernatural edge?

I would have thought so, but not many people seem to give it much credit. Probably because his powers have never really been fleshed out.

Heh, John Constantine would have ripped these guys a new one for summoning the Spectre like that.

But I love this spread. It shows just how rich and diverse DC's magical side is. I feel like the current JLD books are too pigeonholed in being dark and gothic instead of aiming for tonal variety.

Interesting. I didn't know there was another character besides the Zatara's who did backwards magic.
