I really love how Mad drew the one on the right quite a bit. But I will always prefer his classic look the most, or is that the updated 80's version of it with the bigger "Bat ears."
Movie Hawkeye... snore... I can't help it. Maybe I am the only one.

So is the writer that Bagley collaborated with on them Thunderbolts https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Kurt_Busiek
I always felt that the MCU should have taken night vision goggles and changed them to look like a mini version of his mask as glasses. Kind of a mix between these two photos

Perhaps night vision goggles will appear in the Hawkeye Disney+ series.
Watch This Before Hawkeye Starts On Disney+
"Ace Archer Clint Barton made his television debut on November 24th this year in
Marvel’s most chronologically updated piece of work with the mini-series Hawkeye.
But many fans have not only resorted to boycotting the series
but have also taken to social media to express their concerns.
The issue in question is the use of material from the 2012 comic book Hawkeye,
Vol. 2: Little Hits that was written by Matt Fraction and illustrated by David Aja.
Despite taking heavy inspiration from David Aja’s work, Marvel neither credited
him sufficiently in the mini-series nor did they pay him for his work.
Some die-hard Hawk-eyed fans were quick to notice this and took to Twitter to
express their disapproval, some even asking other fans to boycott the series."

if Hawkeye gets another season, I hope we get to see him in his classic outfit, even if it's undercover for his mission.
You're not. Movie Hawkeye is a bore, a snorefest. And I don't blame much Renner. It was what was given to him. However, I do wish Jensen Ackles had accepted the part. He has a certain natural bad boyness that would certainly fit Clint. Of course, nothing would save him from the mediocrity of phase bore, ops, four.
