What Hawkeye costume do you prefer ?, I prefer Hawkeyes mask look.
I enjoy anything Marvel cosmic, especially Thanos or Dark Phoenix related, loved the original Uncanny Avengers series.

Ditto. I prefer the original uniform to the shirt and pants nonsense. Although I miss the real Clint Barton too. He hasn't been around for years, since well before the Bendis-debacle that was Avengers Disassembled.

I long for the days of consistent characterizations, engaging stories and the heroes being heroes. I don't think today's writers often have a clue. The last time Clint was Clint was when Busiek and Perez were doing the Avengers.

Give me Hawkeye, the REAL Hawkeye.

Tales of Suspense #64 Apr 1965
"Hawkeye and the New Black Widow Strike Again!"
As Tony Stark works away at making his armor stronger,
the Black Widow in a new costume tracks down and finds Hawkeye who is testing new arrows.

She tells him that following her disappearance in Tales of Suspense #60 she was taken back behind
the Iron Curtain and forced to do her government's bidding through fear of her family being punished.

They then equipped her with a new costume allowing her to scale walls and ceilings and bracelets that can fire lines to swing on.
Following this she was returned to the States with orders to destroy Iron Man,
and she had tracked down Hawkeye in hopes that he'd help her.

Later that night Happy and Pepper are out on a date, and Happy
proposes to her, a question that Pepper needs more time to think about.
They are soon attacked by Black Widow and Hawkeye who kidnap them
and hold them hostage demanding that Iron Man show up.
Instead Tony Stark does, offering to trade them plans for secret weapons for Happy and Pepper's freedom.

Ordering one of her thugs to go over the plans, Tony uses this as a chance to create a diversion so that he can change into Iron Man.

He battles Hawkeye and Black Widow, sustaining significant damage to his armor thanks to Hawkeye's arrows.
However when the Black Widow is injured in combat, Hawkeye snatches her up
and escapes to get her to safety, making the Widow fail at her mission.
Iron Man soon makes his retreat so that he can change back to Stark
and reunite with the others, where he is greeted very warmly by Pepper, much to Happy's dismay.

NOTE: Third appearance of Hawkeye and the first appearance of Black Widow's costume

Script by Stan Lee, pencils by Don Heck, inks by Chic Stone

I most certainly hope that you have your tongue firmly in your cheek, Dant. Lol. I remember that costume, it was the worst thing ever hoisted on Clint. I remember thinking back in the day, how much I despised it. There was never an artist that could make that outfit look good.

How many issues of the Avengers series depict the comicbook character Clint Barton sporting the 'Deep V' look?

Too many. Honestly, I don't remember for certain, but I think it was less than 30 issues. I think. Pretty sure it was the result of a minor brain concussion when he crashed on earth at the end of the Kree-Skrull War. Even the Goliath costume was a better outfit than this eyesore. Sheesh! The poor choices some heroes make.

Even those are marginally better than the V-mini.

This costume is my favorite, maybe it's nostalgia since I became a fan on Busiek's Avengers.

It didn't even last that long. Clint had that look for about a year, then went back to his old costume.

To tell the truth though, even though I think they could jazz it up a bit, I don't mind the T-Shirt and glasses look.
