Yes please...end the endless string of major cross overs, cut the on-goings down and put out more limited series of less well know characters (to try to get them to get some traction) where they can give artists a little more time to bring up the art quality.
Just look at the success of Immortal Hulk...we don’t need big tie ins or even heavily-connected titles. Let them each tell their story, acknowledge different titles but only team-up every now and again. Last years Absolute Carnage & War of the Realms could have each been told in their own respective titles.
If we are leading to a big event, have a nice build up so we are all pumped (see Secret Wars or even Secret Invasion) and it feels like a deserved crossover.
Look for other means of distribution. Expand beyond the Wednesday warrior crowd. Have affordable options for new readers or even older readers who might be cautious about looking at new or different titles.
More limited series, one-shots, anthologies and short stories.
Less events and long storyarcs.
