With 1 vote each we have foxley, Kirby101, Moon Ronin, PaulBullion, Ravin' Ray, Speed Force, Tami, wortsblogever
with 2 votes we have Greg Hatcher, WestPhillyPunisher
With 4 votes we have Guicho

But our winner, with 5 votes is Shalla Bal .

Congratulations for that win and that cover which probably does resemble working from home these days. It would also make for an interesting Zoom background.
Felt like checking since you came too early, and your count is on point with Shalla's victory. Congratulations lady from the good planet.

    Congratulations to Shalla Ball.

And thanks to Tami for the vote.

I really wanted to use Nero Wolfe for this contest, as he literally solved every case without leaving his home. But there have only been a handful of appearances of Nero Wolfe in comics, with an even smaller number of covers, and none of those really gave me the impression of him working from home, unlike that one of Holmes deep in cogitation at 221B Baker Street.

Congrats Shall Bal. Thanks to ed2962 for the vote, and while there were other covers I considered there was something about yours that jumped out at me.

    Congrats on the win Shalla!
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

Congratulations to Shalla Bal for a cover which not only brilliantly shows the work at home concept, but also covers that major project about to fall in your lap.

As to the peak of the week, the captain has learned that sometimes other issues (pun unintended) supersede (again, pun unintended) the c0ntest I love so much.

Wow! I'm very surprised by this. Thanks for your votes, nx01a, Javasuarus, Kirby101, seismic-2 (I don't know what that icky thing is either, seis!) and Iron Maiden...and also thanks to all the participants, love the covers but I also love the camaraderie we have forged here.

I will be back soon with a new contest!

No problem since all tallies should be double checked anyway. And I will remember the time for the future.
I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:

Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.
