    Default The best 'final issues'

What are the your favorite final issues of a creator's run or ongoing comic series? What run or series really went out with a bang?

My personal favorite 'final issue' is issue 24 of Brian Miller's Batgirl run. To me it's the perfect encapsulation of what the run was about and how far the title character had come during her journey, and the hopeful note it ends on is just perfect.

Grant Morrison's final issue of Doom Patrol is pretty amazing.

Keith Giffin's final page of his Doom Patrol run is one of the funniest endings to a series I've ever read.

The final issue of Ostrander's Spectre run giving a resolution to Corrigan's story (one that should not have been undone).

I'll add Justice League America #60 - the final issue of the Giffen/DeMatteis run.

And speaking of Keith Giffen, his final issue of the 5-years-later Legion was pretty awesome too.

The fact that it was allowed to be the actual ending, and the character wasn't used after, made it better. It was allowed to be an actual ending.

Yep. You win. My absolute favorite comic book series of all time and a lot of that has to do with the last issue. If it didn't stick the landing as well as it did, I don't think I'd hold it in as high esteem.

The 5YL era, under modern prism seems like something from the Dark Multiverse.

But well, I like dark stories. Last issue of Hitman is one of the best for me.
