Default Normal human with super powers vs. a super-being

    Imagine this:

Super Hero 1 - A normal human with super powers
Starts as a normal human with a circle of friends and a relationship with a normal girl or boy.
One day, he/she gains super powers.
But he/she continues hanging out with his/her friends, dating his/her girlfriend/boyfriend and having as much of a normal life as possible while using his/her new powers to help others and fight bad guys.
    Think Firestorm or Spider-Man.

    Super Hero 2 - A super being.
    Another super-hero. Origin irrelevant.
Gets super powers and only hangs out with other super-heroes. Flirts with, and dates, other super-heroes. Stays pretty much only in the super hero circles.
Doesn't bother with a normal life because all his/her associates and relationships are all other super beings.
    Think 'JLA as the WWE'.

Super Hero 1 obviously has an inclination to protect and help normal people because they make up that hero's world. It's personal.
But Super Hero 2 has no real reason to protect or help normal people because he/she doesn't really interact with any.

Why would Super Hero 2 bother 'being a hero' to the normies?
Wouldn't they be more concerned about protecting other heroes and fighting the villains more for sport or revenge?

Here is the thing, altruism. It's a key component of being a hero.Stands to reason, a superhero would need it.Hero a saves a person at the moment of crisis, without any desire for reward. So, he needs to be decent enough or have a core that's a helpful in nature. For example, if superhero2 sees a guy falling and does nothing. He isn't a hero. Therefore, not a superhero. He is just guy a with powers. Since you called superhero2, a superhero. he will automatically need to be heroic.

If you are asking why a man with powers helps out normies. Well, people help animals. They can't really understand and or relate to them.Similarly, people would helpout aliens or gods or whatever. They don't need to relate to them for that to happen. So it stands to reason the reverse is also possible.

The origin for Super Hero 2 is not irrelevant because that may inform why Super Hero 2 does what they do. Super Hero 2 may be an entity like Nabu or Raven sent from Beyond to execute a specific task. Super Hero 2 may, like Hawkman (Katar Hol) and Hawkwoman (Shayera Thal) be pursuing an enemy from back home to prevent them from wrecking further havoc. Super Hero 2 may have been separated from their past by the tragedy that gave them powers, like Robot Man (Cliff Steel) or Cyborg. Super Hero 2 may be a refugee like Martian Manhunter, or a child of uncommon circumstances, like Zatanna, who find the company of other extraordinaries easier to handle than living among the masses, but whose experiences have not robbed them of compassion for others.
