Ahh I can’t see the picture but I’m glad Bumblebee is getting some much needed attention.
It's a shame DC (and Marv Wolfman especially) didn't do more with these characters back when Titans was at the top of the charts. It's not too late --- I'd love to see these two get a new series. I can't tell if Mal is dressed as Guardian -- or if that's a new Herald design. Frankly, they need to let the Herald angle go -- and just let him be Guardian.
And, yes, that cover is amazing!
It's definitely Guardian. It looks almost exactly like the Guardian suit he had in Young Justice.
OMG! That new cover with Mal & Karen in their original* costumes is incredible! I might actually have to buy both copies of this issue which is extremely rare for me. Speaking of the first cover, does anyone know who the bearded guy next to Speedy is supposed to be? Terry Long? Weird choice if so. And is that the Gargoyle behind Mal? Cool. I love how deep Ridley's knowledge of DC lore seems to be.
* Or the Perez updates of their original costumes anyway.
Love those covers so much, especially the second one!
? Is this a new single-issue or a compendium of past Bumblebee moments? (I hope it is this one!)
Nice, hope the romance writing is good
december 21st has passed where are my superpowers?
Hmmm... I like Mal better on the first cover, but like Karen better on the second cover. I love the design of the first cover, but I like the realistic imagery of the second. Yeah, I could certainly see picking up both versions. I just hope this leads to something with the characters. The Titans Hunt minis-series from several years back by Dan Abnett had a lot of promise that was not delivered in the ongoing series that followed. Bumblebee's storyline, in particular, was disappointing. And then editorial kicked most of the team to the curve -- and I dropped the book (as did many others apparently which led to cancellation).
I don't think Mal and Karen need the rest of the team. Just give them a solid creative crew -- and give them a shot on their own!
