Why did Tim even need to steal a Batmobile anyway? He used to have his OWN car, the Redbird.

I don't know, maybe he just thought it would be cooler to have a Batmobile. I mean realistically you can have superspeed or your own car but deep down you still really wanna drive the Batmobile.

Also in fairness Tim's Car would be in Gotham and the stolen Batmobile was in LA where he would only go on weekends at that point in the run so I can see why his own car wasn't there.

Two things.

1. Flash Rebirth was almost a decade ago now and Max hasn't been seen since. Except, maybe a brief cameo flashback in Flash War.
2. Flash Rebirth was NOT in the DC Rebirth which came afterwards.

That explains it, thanks. Masterff's post confused me, because Max definitely wasn't in Flash #4 in 2016!

Last night I finally got to Mercury Falling So much character development for Bart in these issues to show his love for Max.

Yeah and the quality didn't dip much (if) at all when he took the reins.
I would like to think Mark Waid had a hand in getting Bill the gig.

I love that issue. So so funny. Bart was such a great character to pair up with other characters. Instant gold. Batman. Plastic man. Superman.

I remember the beginning of the series even though it was many years ago since I read them over and over. Later in the series I dint remember as much.

I actually dont think I ever read Mercury falling. Or at least remember it. I've been wanting to for awhile.

Yeah I was surprised. I know fans like Bart but didnt know he was that popular. Maybe because it came out in the 90's?

Does anyone have an interview with Waid about why and how he created Bart?
