When is it considered the transition from Silver to Bronze?
There's a bit of debate about where the Silver-Bronze boundary lies. Some have suggested events like the deaths of Aquaman's son or Gwen Stacy over at Marvel. I've heard others suggest that it was in the early 1970s, when Schwartz at DC was editing more innovative and character-driven takes on Batman (including O'Neal and Adams run) and Superman, while at the same time Thomas became EiC at Marvel and brought his passion for continuity to the entire line.
