Default Any worthy epidemic stories featuring Clark?

Given the current state of the world in the cold grip of Coronavirus, I was wondering ...

What's the most memorable Superman tale involving an epidemic? Any medical non-occult outbreak story would qualify.

Please don't tell me there's nothing but zombie stories like DCeased in all of Clark's 82-year catalogue.

    - virus X only affected Kryptonians but is probably the most famous, from Superman #156

    - in Exile, Superman picks up a disease that is undetectable through him initially but causes problems for Jimmy on contact

    - critical countdown dealt with Superman being fatally poisoned with a kryptonite fever

    - and then there was the Kryptonian leprosy

Not the most comfortable subject matter now but it's not really the same thing anyway.

DC Comics Presents#85, by some british guy who used to write comics.

This was going to be my pick. Can’t go wrong with Moore OP! It’s a great story but keep in mind this is the Pre-Crisis guy who is Superman disguised as Clark Kent which plays an important role in his characterization here.

There was a very old Golden Age story, Action Comics #19 according to Google, featuring something called the Purple Plague whose symptoms included turning people's skin purple. Despite how silly it sounds, the disease was very deadly and I recall the story being harrowing.

I must say I dislike those stories where a disease affects everyone, no matter if they're human or alien. That...wouldn't happen. It couldn't happen, at least not like it's always shown. Also, Kryptonians given that their bodies are full of energy almost to the extent of being mini suns on the cellular level should be pretty hard to infect, and given that their a much older species with much more evolved immune systems. Not saying it couldn't happen, but it should be rare, and probably magical.

"Created Equal" though he's not the main character. A space virus passes Earth and kills the male population and only Superman survives (but a carrier for the virus). He leaves Earth in search for a cure but not before sharing how to combine Kryptonian and human DNA so a next generation of (hybrid) humans can be born.
