There's some rumors that the next game will return to the Crusades setting, but from the Templar POV, kind of like Rogue.

Regarding Fenrir, some of the other games such as Odyssey revealed that the Isu did some a lot of mad scientist stuff with mythological creatures such as Sphinxes being the result. The series has sort of been leaning from the Isu being super technologically advanced to being more god-like starting with Origins a bit, although with a great deal of vagueness about that too (The Atlantis expansion for example). Also the Isu tech deals a lot with making elaborate illusions (The Tyranny of King Washington is also an example) so that makes things even more up in the air.

Just got the latest huge patch. I jumped off a church ledge and traveled probably 200 meters horizontally lol. Landed in a lake and took no damage.

Well it just happened again, but this time I went vertical and not horizontal, and of course died. How does a tested patch do this twice in three days?

So did anybody notice that the Vinland map is nearly identical to AC3's Frontier? Kind of a nice touch (and of course the Vinland arc does act as an AC3 prequel).

What do you think of the first expansion, Wrath of the Druids? Maybe I'm spoiled by Oddessy's expansions, but WotD is exactly the same game as the main game. There is no difference in visuals, objectives, or even side quests.

    Very disappointing.

Seems like with Origins and Odyssey expansions they were largely focused on Egyptian & Greek views of the afterlife, with some Isu stuff thrown in, although Hidden Ones & Legacy of the First Blade mainly served to tie the game into the wider AC storyline.

However, Valhalla kind of already covers that in the base game....(although I haven't played WOTD yet myself so I'm not sure).

    ?

Maybe he could be a sage/reincarnated Isu (Which is an important plot element in this game but was sort of a subplot in some of the others, although it was pretty big in Black Flag and Unity)? Although I'm not sure Sages have memories of previous human versions.

Finished the game's main storyline, although I still have to 'mop up' the last kingdom and the order members.

Either that and/or a remake of the original game would be awesome.

One thing that it's a bit problematic is that a fairly consequential name change to one of the series factions-and the fate of a major character-is sort of put on a fairly long group of optional side quests. Kind of like how most of the Juno storyline which was a fairly big deal in Black Flag,Unity, Syndicate required you to read the tie-in comics to see how it all wrapped up. Or how the Adam & Eve story required Ezio to do a bunch of puzzles in the game instead of being woven more into the main narrative.

There's rumors of a FORTNITE style AC game being developed.

Granted though it seems like the AC series hasn't really involved itself too closely with multiplayer; (Some of UNITY is co-op though) it's not as easy to translate the gameplay style as other UBI stuff like Farcry.

It’s a Destiny/Division style AC game. Assassins Creed Infinity. A live service AC game. The sucker in me is excited, but the realist in me knows that live service games are usually a mess.

Paris expansion is almost here. There's also rumors that one of the expansions might deal with a lingering plot thread from AC odyssey.

I have to wonder if they'll include any call-forwards to Unity, in the same way the Vinland arc of Valhalla (and also one of the Hidden ones having a very similar name to Conner's father) is an obvious one to AC III. Then again, I don't think there were any Syndicate references in Valhalla despite taking place in England....
