[QUOTE=Kevinroc;4964284]Natural attrition.
Creative team changes.
The book looking and feeling more like a traditional super hero comic.
A rebranding.
I think these are all contributing factors in the book's declining sales. Unless something truly catastrophic happens in the real world, I'm sure Marvel will try again in the future.[/QUOTE
I am sure they will try again with some version of Gwen. Keep in mind, they used Jackal and a creepy version of Norman Osborn in the two Gwen books. Guaranteed to remind people of Clone Saga and Sins Past, and everyone knows how reviled those stories are.
Yeah, I wonder if it would've done better if the two volumes had been one volume called Spider-Gwen. Relaunching with the exact same creative team is a no-no. People aren't fooled. Champions DIDN'T relaunch when Zub took over, and then relaunched later. That was a mistake too. Relaunch when the writer changes, not mid-run. Learn that lesson, Marvel.

A character as new as Spider-Gwen should still be on its first volume. Marvel's yearly relaunch of titles has made every new number 1 just another comic. There's nothing special about it anymore, and people have started to realize it's for a quick sales bump, and for no other reason.
Are Scream and Amazing MJ sharing Gwen's fate?
