And the My Body My Choice crowd have no problems as stated above taking that choice away from woman or the parents of Transgender kids. because you know, God and Merican Values.

The party of free speech and I hate Cancel Culture going on a rampage on what can be taught in schools, and are banning books. because "Wont someone please think of the Children. I am fine with them being shot in school because these things happen. But ill be damned if they can learn about gays and Slavery!"
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the conservative ideology is now actively messing up US society.

All the anti-CRT, replacement theory and banning of books are all coming from the same place of racism. And racism and discrimination, open or not ALWAYS has consequences (see Buffalo, New York). It’s so bad now that some right-wing hacks (including Paul Gosar) were sharing the picture of a trans-woman and claiming that she was the one behind the Ulvade shooting. A total fabrication generated from 4chan, I guess this is what they want free speech for, to spread irresponsible, bigoted and deadly misinformation without consequence.

The outsized influence of lobbyists on American politics has led to people throwing away common sense. It’s so bad now that as mass shootings become more common literally nothing can be done because the GOP has been bought and paid for. Ironically, these are the same people fighting against abortion rights claiming they are the “party of family values”. They claim that guns aren’t the problem it’s mental health, Texas cut funding to mental health programs massively! All the while making it easier for folks to buy guns.

I don’t say this to insult anyone but I really don’t understand how anyone at this pint can even support the GOP considering how low they have fallen. The only reason I can think of is people agree with their recklessness and bigotry.

Do not give that both sides ****. Are the Democrat perfect? Nope. Compared to the GOP who does all of the above and more they look like Saints.
GOP are no saints but at least they never pretended to be an ally of the Left. The Democrats blame the left and independent socialists for their upcoming election losses

There is no greater con artist than the person who poses as your ally, identifies your pain, and then stabs you in the back. That is who the Democrats are. Wake up.

It’s absurd how Democrats always act powerless. They control the House, Senate & White House.

They could pass a living wage, codify Roe & make healthcare a human right.

But instead they just keep making excuses & finding scapegoats so they can govern for their corporate donors.

I used to think the Democrats just needed to fight harder, but I was so naive. Democrats are in fact fighting hard. They’re fighting hard to convince you the only problem is the big bad scary GOP all while they serve the exact same corporations and big money interests as the GOP.

These Democrats are using another crisis (this time a mass shooting) to get people to “vote blue no matter who” instead of using their power to fight for & pass popular gun safety legislation.

I would rather vote for a group that falls short then a group that actively tried to make things worse.

The Democrats do have issues, I have said that. They spent their whole campaigns the last few years as "We are not Trump." Aint working out. Biden spent so much time "We are going to work with the GOP. We are going to listen and work with them." Drove me nuts to hear that day in and day out.

Exactly. However, I'd like to add my two cents to it.

The Democrats are still more dangerous than the GOP because they implement the same policies as Republicans, but lie and pretend they are progressive to deceive the public and block any real movement in this country to the left.

I agree that President Biden is neither reckless nor irrational as his sociopathic predecessor. But I wish he could do more about the gun control, inflation, economy and other issues.

I could understand if it was one or two cops. or a couple first year rookies. But man those videos look like half the cops in that town were there. I mean one or two cops scared fine. But when you have 30 guys standing around while a nut is murdering children. And their excuse "Umm Umm we are waiting for Swat." They have the guns, the have the advantage of numbers, they have the bullet proof vests. "We didnt want to put the kids in danger." Is also what I heard. Really? You are standing there listening to screams and the gun going off. The kids are in danger they are being killed.

I also hear "Well how many people would have done different?" Well there were a whole group of unarmed parents that made an effort. The police held them back and even put a couple of them in hand cuffs. Also what any one else would have done is not the issue. I am not a cop, I dont have the ability to be one in terms of mental, physical, and to be honest I am a bit of a coward. So I dont put myself in a job I have to defend lives. What anyone else would have done is a non issue because we were not on the scene. They were and they did nothing.

So basically the school cop in Sandy Hook was afraid to confront the gunman and the SWAT team in Uvalde were afraid to confront the gunman and yet the GOP still think the answer to gun violence at schools is for armed security?

Aside from waving a magic wand to make Manchin and Sinema behave, please give me an example of how they could do those things. LBJ had 63 democratic senators. We have 48 reliable votes.

Just because a politician in power doesn't publicly say how horrible the Texas shooting was doesn't mean they're not affected by it.
I get it, I'd be embarrassed too if I'd hitched my political wagon to a group of sociopaths whose immediate instinct after kids are gunned down is to jump in front of the guns to protect them rather than the children. It's f##king disgusting, and to be associated with that (or even complicit with, if that's your priority as well) has to give one a headache trying to square the circle of you being a "good person" while also caring more about self-esteem substitutes that kill and the intention of white landowning, slave-owning men of the 18th century than you do these kids seeing middle school.

Are Democrats innocent? Not always. But their weaknesses are generally, well, weakness. Not being able to stand up to people with seriously screwed up priorities and outdated thinking. Not being able to keep their members in line on big votes. Not being able to get their message out when they consistently hold and push for the values the majority of the citizens in this country also hold (including on guns, even with majorities among Republican voters and NRA members).

They get plenty of criticism. But yes, the board skews left. You're lucky, you're not. Which means you have an opportunity to speak up and be a unique voice. Make good points. Shut people down by being right. Or, you can come in before the bodies are cold after yet another (and another, and another) school shooting and talk about "both sides". But don't expect anyone to take you seriously.

Do you guys remember those dark days when Al Gore Lost the election and his supporters carrying confederate flags and wearing Nazi shirts stormed the Capital to keep Bush from being certified? Or When Hilary Clinton's supporters did the same when she lost to Trump!

Oh wait you all dont remember? But you all do remember when Trump's thugs did this right?

    Yea both sides.

How the can you say the Democrats are more dangerous than the GOP barely 2 weeks after a man slaughtered innocent people in grocery based on right wing talking points? Fucking shameful.

In bad news from the Nutjob Dictator front. Russia passed a law that changes the Age limit to serve in the army from 40 to 65. is that a sign they are getting desperate for bodies? or are they hoping to recruit the older crowd that has bought into their lies about the Ukraine Invasion to come fight for the old glory days of Mother Russia?

Trans people are the new wedge.
As the nation mourns 21 lives lost to senseless gun violence, the Republican governor of Oklahoma, Kevin Stitt, made sure to sign the latest anti-trans bill into law. On Wednesday, Stitt signed a bill requiring public and charter school students to use bathrooms that align with their sex as listed on their birth certificates. In short, this is an effort to ban trans youth from accessing the correct bathroom and instead force them to either “out” themselves by using the one assigned at birth or to delay their bodily functions until school is over. Because young people don’t have enough to worry about.

The law applies to all students from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. The measure dictates that if trans youth refuse to use the bathroom aligning with their sex assigned at birth (and who are unable to hold it all day) must use a “single-occupancy” bathroom instead. It goes into effect immediately, per CNN.

Since when being trans is such a problem… to others?
