Seriously, if Republicans want to stop hearing their party is doing evil s*** like taking people's right to bodily autonomy away...

I dunno, maybe if you don't want to hear that, they could stop doing evil things?

Or maybe their support base could stop being indifferent or even celebrating the evil things they're doing, and talking about doing?

What compromise is there in regards to women's reproductive health?

I just had someone try to convince me that in Ireland, their nation's ban on abortion was flipped after women died, including one in a very high-profile case that outraged the country... so that's all it would take here and this will all be undone just like that.

I had to remind them of recent history...

American conservatives have rejected empathy pathologically for the past quarter century, at least. The cruelty really is the point, and they portray any empathy for the suffering of others as weakness.

We've twice had body counts of children over twenty in mass shootings at elementary schools, they're unmoved, and express rage at any thought of gun control.

We just spent an entire pandemic fighting with them like they were stubborn children trying to get them to wear masks and get vaccinated to help save lives, and they've staged propaganda campaigns and made threats against public health officials.

They've fought back against doing anything about climate change, even though it will save the lives of future generations from its impact... all the while denying the science and that said climate change exists.

So I don't give them too much credit to think that the first time there's a bad outcome and a woman dies (and a LOT of women are going to die), that they're going to change their mind. There is no amount of death that sways them. They've shown us that for decades.

It will stop making the news after the 5th or 6 one probably in a couple of weeks.

You apparently missed the criticism of the Dem's weak response to this, but I'm sure that's intentional since you support the pro-rape/pro-incest/pro-avoidable death side.

And they're showing us they're not done with this s***, and pulling away rights.

Alito talked about undoing Loving v. Virginia (interracial marriage), Obergefell v. Hodges (gay marriage), Lawrence v. Texas (the right to have sex in your own home without it being a procreative act), and Griswold v. Connecticut (birth control). Clarence Thomas seconded that, omitting only the Loving decision because he didn't want to get Ginni tweaked, apparently.

Meanwhile, Texas Senator John Cornyn is out there thumping his chest and egging them on to undo Plessy v. Ferguson and Brown v. Board of Education. Yeah, let's undo f***ing segregation in the 21st century.

These goons are burning everything good that's ever come from the judicial branch just to take glee in the rights of others being removed. That's it. There's not a doubt that it's what's best for this country's people, but LET'S OWN THESE LIBS!

So I'm gonna reserve my right to call taking human rights away from other people "evil", and if that's offensive to anybody, I'd revise your priorities.

The response will be predictable, they'll claim it's "media bias" and they're "overreporting" the numbers, then claim some of those deaths weren't actually from attempted abortions, but from some random boogeyman... Then they'll try and blame it on the victims themselves for having sex (whether willing or not)...

We already know what their playbook is.

As far as compromise. They passed a Gun Bill that was full of compromise. To get some GOP Senators on board they had to remove any of the things that would have been more effective, like universal background checks and assault weapons ban. It mostly concentrated on mental health (which is important, but also the goes along with the GOP narrative) and in the end it is a half measure. But hey, don't the American people want things to be bi-partisan. And then we hear "Why didn't the Dems..."

It was on this date in 2015 that “Fanatical Republican Extremist of the Day” profiled Paul Blair, a radical anti-gay pastor from Oklahoma, and a big ally of State Rep. Sally Kern, who proudly spoke of her political credentials (i.e. her dedication to oppressing the LGBTQ community) at the “Rally for Sally” back in 2008. You see, he was all lathered up after she said that gays represent a bigger threat to America than terrorism (since gay rights made people like Blair and Kern victims). Blair is a former player for the Chicago Bears (and could easily be operating under the effects of long term head injuries), the pastor of Fairview Baptist Church in Edmond, Oklahoma, the founder of Reclaiming Oklahoma for Christ, head of the Reclaiming America For Christ organization. He's also appeared at an anti-hate crimes “Rally for Religious Freedom” where he and anti-gay activists vowed never to stop fighting homosexuality and challenged the Justice Department to prosecute them. Blair was the driving force behind a video called “The Criminalization of Christianity” in which he warns that hate crimes legislation is actually a “Pedophile Protection Act”, would “make it possible for a pastor to be prosecuted for doing nothing more than preaching a Biblical sermon on Sunday”. Which would be breaking a commandment about bearing false witness, because hate crime legislation does nothing to criminalize free speech (because that would be an unconstitutional violation of the 1st Amendment now, wouldn't it?) But it would seem that lying is a frequent habit of Pastor Blair, who claims he receives death threats from the gay community over his stance (that are repeatedly unfounded). And that's when Blair tried saying the unsubstantiated death threats were his motivation for making himself a 2012 candidate for the Oklahoma State Senate (endorsed by that anti-gay hate group, the Family Research Council), where he lost in the Republican Primary, earning a shockingly impressive 43% of the vote. Some of the more disturbing and/or homophobic quotes from Paul Blair's most bats*** speeches include that "The Devil is behind gay rights and gay culture", before whining how America has gone from "Ozzie and Harriet to Desperate Housewives" and "from True Grit to Brokeback Mountain", claiming that the “communists” are trying to “inculcate homosexual values, or lack of values, into the American culture” in order “to destroy the family” and create “a global utopia", adding that "Satan is the source and ultimate conspirator” behind “the force of communism, the force of the radical homosexual agenda, the secularist movement in America.", and of course, comparing his battle against gay marriage to be similar to “the fight against slavery and Nazi Germany”.

It was originally in July of 2014, and then on this date in both 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, as well as 2021, that “Fanatical Republican Extremist of the Day” presented profiles of the sitting U.S. House Representative from Wyoming’s At-Large Congressional District, Liz Cheney. We’ll say right now that given current events, today is the day we will temporarily set aside this profile because Rep. Cheney is currently the co-chair of the Jan. 6th Select Committee, and doing what needs to be done to save American democracy.

But her story did not always have her on the right side of history… Liz Cheney is, of course, the carpet-bagging daughter of former Vice-President Dick Cheney who after spending several years during President Obama’s first term as a Fox News Correspondent fomenting fear and anger towards Muslims to try and justify bigotry towards Muslim Americans, the use of torture in the War on Terror, and to keep our troops in combat in the Middle East, even if it means going to war into completely new quagmires there. She has defended the paranoid ramblings of Birther conspiracy theorists, rallied against the “Ground Zero Mosque” (that was actually an Islamic cultural center located blocks away), and had said that Republican obstructionism of any Democratic effort to do anything was “patriotism”. But the real comedy started once Liz Cheney challenged Senator Mike Enzi, where her campaign took one disastrous turn after another, from being caught falsifying information on her Wyoming hunting license application (to try and make it look like she was a resident for longer than she was), having her husband caught on voter rolls in both Virginia and Wyoming, when she attacked the print media for investigating her carpet-bagging by saying, “newspapers are dying, and that’s not a bad thing”, to ending up feuding with her own sister-in-law on Facebook after she reversed her stance on gay marriage. It was a comedy of errors. When we first created our Liz Cheney entry, back around July of 2014, we wondered if she would ever re-emerge to try for another run in politics. A year passed, and we had no new updates in 2015… but now, in 2016, she ran for Congress in Wyoming again, to replace the briefly retired Cynthia Lummis.

Liz learned so much from her first run for office that she managed to send out a Facebook post to announce her run for office, it was listed from… Alexandria, Virginia, in the home she supposedly left to go back and live in Wyoming and totally not be a carpet-bagger. Name recognition helped Liz Cheney get a victory over EIGHT other Republicans in the GOP Primary for her House seat, and in a state that leans as far right as Wyoming, she coasted to victory in November of 2016. Afterwards, she showed her eagerness in killing endangered wolves, her completely partisan insults directed at Barack Obama while he was leaving office, or her desire to get the Trump administration the ability to start torturing detainees at Guantanamo Bay. Early in the Trump administration, Cheney still demonstrated that she wanted to continue her father's twisted policies in the world... However, Liz, for a time, kept rooting for the wrong person, as she excitedly posted to Twitter her support for Donald Trump when he fired the FBI Director James Comey, writing, “Best. Termination. Letter. Ever.

Considering it was this move that those who could see the basics of cause and effect in Washington, D.C. knew could be a potential impeachment charge for Trump because of how obstruction of justice works. Liz immediately rushed to delete her own post once the media reported on her reaction, but it was too late for her to pretend it didn’t happen.

As the administration lingered on, though, she started to engage the truly "out there" members of her party, going as far as to accuse Sen. Rand Paul of “sympathizing with terrorists” for opposing Gina Haspel as CIA Director (the right sentiment, but for the wrong reason).

Liz Cheney saw Donald Trump and his cronies trying to start The Big Lie after he lost the 2020 election, and stopped playing along with them completely regarding seditious rhetoric. Then Trump incited an attack on Congress on January 6th, 2021, and she was one of the few to show any spine, chewing out Jim Jordan during the attack for his role in the coup attempt, then voting to certify the election results, voting to impeach Trump for his role in the insurrection, and expecting our nation’s security apparatus to investigate it to hold those responsible accountable. For that, she was abandoned by GOP leadership to the biggest loons in her party, and removed from her leadership post in the House.

The Wyoming GOP also censured her and a number of Republicans back home have plotted to knock her off in the 2022 Republican Primary for her seat. We have no idea if the voters in her state will continue to trust the Cheney name, or if they’re so deeply entrenched in the cult of personality around Donald Trump that they’re going to bounce her from office. We’re not throwing dirt on her grave yet. We will, however, state that her doing the right thing in regards to Donald Trump so late in the game does not negate that her prior bigotry or hyperbolic attacks on her political opponents. We, probably ke a lot of people, cannot believe that current events have us actually rooting for Liz Cheney to do the right thing.

But, as we said in our opening, this update is to let everyone know we’re moving on to profile the consciousless motherf***ers still out there in the GOP that aren’t a current threat to American democracy. At least we can absolve Liz from ignoring an attempted coup.

The GOP talking heads keep talking about how we are over reacting about Thomas talking about Gay Marriage and Contraception. Because Alito said they are not on the table. Well last time I checked Alito is one voice on a GOP packed SC. 3 Judges put there by a racist, homophobic/ transphobic nut job who have already showed they lied when they had their conformation hearings.

So we are trusting a group of Judges that are part of a party that is openly racist, openly views that gay and Trans citizens are not people, lied about taking the rights awya from woman and cheer about it and one judge whose wife actively wanted to over turn a legal election.

These are the people America is told to put our trust in. These are the people that Mets says we can trust. And he is so trusting that he is willing to wager his vote (a solemn right being taken away from many citizens) like it was a cheap doll at some state fair game booth.

All of this is insulting at every level. They think we are that stupid. And sadly it is working. I talked to a couple of my gay friends. One of them is not worried at all. "We are fine. The SC wont go that far." I called him a fucking idiot and hung up.

A key difference is that there is a constitutional right to bear arms in the second amendment, as well as a fourteenth amendment that says that states that can't pass laws to abridge citizens' privileges.

I also want to point out that it says a lot for a person that the only way they will not vote for the party of hate and Nut jobs is if they lose a bet forcing them to do so.

The same judges swore under oath that Roe v. Wade was "settled law", so nobody should believe a f***ing word that comes out of their fanatical mouths.

The coup attempt isn't a deal-breaker. The candidates who are literal domestic terrorists, white nationalists, or Neo-Nazis isn't a dealbreaker. The indifference to death or suffering isn't a dealbreaker.

Anybody that can't swear off of the above, I wouldn't trust to honor any bet. Especially when they move goalposts even more than Mitch McConnell over Supreme Court nominees.
