As a side note. Trump keeps saying he has done more for black people than any President since Lincoln. Of course this is a ludicrous boast from a White Supremacist, whose policy reflect his racism. But his claim is ONLY based on black unemployment being at an all time low. Well looking at any chart we see that unemployment continued to decline as it had under Obama, but at a slower rate under Trump. In fact Obama lowered black unemployment by over 50%, from just under 17% to just under 8%. Trump lowered it by another 2.5% or about 30%. And with the COVID recession, Black unemployment has gone back to almost pre-Obama levels.

Trump saying black people never had it so good as they do under his administration is like Ike Turner telling Tina she never had it so good as when they were married (thus ignoring the long track record of abuse).

Good point. In a way Giuliani represents America since 9/11. After the attack, everyone felt solidarity with America, "We are all Americans" a French paper said. And then the US government and its policies threw all that goodwill out the window, learned absolutely nothing from that moment of vulnerability, and became more arrogant than before.

Giuliani got a dose of reality, a moment which could have sobered him up and he failed at it. It's something appalling to be handed a heroic moment and then p-ss it all away.

He has twice voted to defund Planned Parenthood, voted to defund ACORN based on partisan hack James O'Keefe's fraud, and even voted against disaster relief funding for Hurricane Sandy. Kline's response to the CIA's report on torture being an ineffective and immoral tactic was to claim the report was "completely partisan" and grumbling that not enough Republicans put ink into it. Kline, after seven aggravating terms in Congress, retired in 2016, and is not terribly missed.
