    Relevant interview with Noam Chomsky:

Voting Is Not the End of Our Work. It’s Only the Beginning.

He is right that voting against Trump is just the beginning. Americans will have to form a grassroots movement that effectively puts pressure on Biden to enact change, otherwise an even worse Trump will come 2024.

The media likes to quote him only when he says to vote for a Corporate Democrat. Will they bother to quote him on this?

Maybe we can wait a week or tow before that starts to happen? I mean, it's time to decompress and think clearly. The hard work will come, though it has already started.

So I wonder how long before Rudy starts paying people to come out on the fraud hotline ? Because we know this is something him and Trump will do.

Not shocked , last year on his Twitter , Trump mocked people by having a video of himself compared to Thanos. Not realizing he was symbolizing what was ahead in that film .

Laugh as it falls over and realize grifting on it is what put Steve Bannon's white nationalist ass in jail.

Keep it up and make it a reminder of how bad America got-because folks bitter over a Black man in the White House for 8 years, a crime bill that did not get a check and balance, close bigotry became open bigotry and a failure to accept people of different races, creeds, sexuality and religions-put the poster child for hate in the White House.

    Biden won.

We got to make sure he has an America to be inaugurated in.

We got to make sure he LIVES long enough to get to that date.

We have to be vigilant because we don't know what his cult will do. Yes cult-we have seen how bad they can get (see Beyonce's fanbase, Snyder Cut fans, comicsgate or google Tommy Sotomayor for how toxic hate can be).

And let's put to bed this falsehood that the US is a "center-right" country. Michael Moore actually said this years ago; most Americans actually lean left than they want to admit (for whatever reason).

Trump lost the popular MASSIVELY TWICE! Biden got an absolute majority (over 50%) of the popular vote. The democrats have won the popular vote every single time since 2004.

Based on the voting patters of the Presidential election, it's quite clear that majority of Americans don't agree with the bigotry, racism, cruelty, callousness and frankly decadence of Trump and the rhetoric of the far-right.

Despite what Fox News is screeching, the country is more "center-left" than anything. If the "Trumpsters" are still living in their bubble, this is the time to come out of it and start asking themselves how they are going to move forward in what is a more "liberal" society than people want to admit.

    2) Kentucky has major voter suppression and gerrymandering like all Red States.

    3) McConnell delivered a 6-3 Republican majority on the SCOTUS, getting religious types to see him as their man. And that meant the threat and fear of court-packing which McGrath had to play down made her vulnerable to respond as a moderate.

    In other words,

Is totally correct, accurate, precise. Voters believe Dems are Satan, and think that supporting a nihilistic conservatism as long as it works for them is fine.

McConnell's obstructionism on Congress has allowed Kentucky to get in a lot of funds, especially from blue states like NYS (which Andrew Cuomo furiously pointed out when Mitch slow-dragged stimulus and tried to attack blue governors and blue states).

So Kentucky has benefited from McConnell's nihilism and that's allowed him to get their vote.
Voter suppression is not going to explain a nineteen point difference.

Gerrymandering has nothing to do with statewide races/

For me, these are mainly pluses. I voted for boring and moderate.

The Dems downballot losses are down to Moderates not being able to hold out against a large Red turnout not against any rejection of radical agenda. Progressives did well in the election and Nancy Pelosi in the House now has to answer to a progressive agenda that expanded and won the election against the moderate Blue Reps-in-Red States that she had given undue attention to after 2018.
Did progressives do well in competitive races?

My best friend who is a Republican is asking if he should start a riot now? Bricks or rocks? What stores should he vandalize?

He's looking at a Bass Fishing Shop and the Beer Store.

Now, before I go on; to be clear, I want to make sure you get credit here. I know how important that is to Cishet white conservative dudes on the internet. You yourself are not seeking the death and/or silencing of queer voices, not have I seen you ever suggest it, and I appreciate that. And you yourself don’t support Trump. Just the party of which he is the exemplar/avatar/leader...and you support the party he is the standard bearer for, which has as a PLANK OF ITS PLATFORM the dehumanization of queer and trans people and the delegitimization of our lives, our relationships and our families.

So when a queer person looks at Lady G and says, “Huh...I wonder why an effeminate submissive (which is not a bad thing to be, mind...) is so vehement about damning his own people...what a tool...”, that isn’t ‘homophobia’. That is observational skills being put to use by a people who lived for decades (If not centuries) on subtext and subtle clues. Because we HAD to. To SURVIVE. Because people like those leading your party have sought to flush us out and make scapegoats of us, imprison us, castrate us, silence us, deny we exist, demonize us and make the mere fact of our pubic existence illegal. Which is why Pride is a thing...

Lindsay Graham meets all the marks, hits all the notes, and isn’t fooling anyone. He’s either a closet queen with some serious self-loathing brought on by a lifetime of his party telling him how disgusting and evil and sick and vile he is...or he’s just an effeminate, submissive straight guy who likes watching people suffer as much as the next Republican.

Of course, he COULD be like Richard Grenell and be both gay AND someone who enjoys watching others suffer while they themselves stockpile wealth, but...

Anyway, the queer community calling him out as a closet case is, at WORST, pointing out the devastating effects of his hypocrisy and offering Graham a handy - and genuine - escape hatch. If he just admitted what we all know, then we could approach this honestly and offer a potential support network to help him come out and be proud and get away from his abusers. It’s us saying, “You may be a monster to us, but we get you. Come out. Come home. We’ll help you. Stop hurting yourself. You don’t deserve to live this way.”

Because the other option is ‘soulless, hateful coward who only wants to submit to a real man in jackboots so hard, y’all...’. And that sorta person deserves zero compassion or pity...

But yes, my point: DON’T you, a cishet white conservative, EVER deign to tell a queer person what is ‘homophobic’. Same rule that applies when talking to people of color about what is or isn’t racist.

    It’s not.

    Your.

    Place.

And it comes across as smug and condescending, along the lines of ‘So much for the tolerant left...’

You like to be accurate and correct in your speech to a pedantic level...apply it here.
I'm sorry people have been mean to you in the past.

It doesn't make it right or wise to mock someone for failing to conform to mainstream expectations of masculine behavior.

I disagree. I think the right would be fine if what's going on in Poland was going on in the US.
