Agree. Good intentions turned over to the most corrupt Administration in history whose goal was to enrich friends rather than help people or the economy.

Cool story Sis. Like they stopped supporting him during impeachment, or when he screwed the COVID response or when he turned a blind eye to bounty on American soldiers. Yeah the GOP sure shown their backbone.

Feels more like they went with "We Need To Get This Done Quickly..." than "We Need To Make Sure This Is Done Correctly..."

While the administration certainly didn't help, it seems like Congress punted on having much in the way of oversight in exchange for looking like they were acting quickly.

Ohio state lawmaker calls for people to stop getting tested

(CNN)An Ohio state lawmaker called for people to stop getting tested for coronavirus as he railed against a state health order requiring people in seven Ohio counties to wear masks in public spaces starting this week.

"Are you tired of living in a dictatorship yet?" Republican state Rep. Nino Vitale wrote in a post on Facebook Tuesday after Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, a Republican, announced the mask mandate. "This is what happens when people go crazy and get tested. STOP GETTING TESTED! It is giving the government an excuse to claim something is happening that is not happening at the magnitude they say it is happening."

Vitale called into question why the new order wouldn't go into effect until Wednesday evening, saying "if this is such an urgent matter, why wait almost 30 hours? They make no sense. Stop listening to these frauds."

CNN has reached out to Vitale for additional comment.
There should be a special place for lawmakers who deny COVID and rail against masks along with other preventive measures.

Wait, did Trump win or lose? A seven-question FAQ on the Supreme Court’s ruling.

On Thursday, the Supreme Court handed down a pair of rulings in cases where President Trump was seeking to keep others from obtaining his tax returns and private financial information.

Here’s seven questions and seven answers about what happened:
    2. Did Trump win?

    In a legal sense, no.

But in a political sense, the answer is yes.

That’s because Trump only has to win one more election, this fall.

And Thursday’s decisions made it unlikely voters will see his financial records before then — if they ever do.

There was oversight in the bill, demanded by the House. The Admin announced they would ignore it, and they did. There was urgency, as it was the fastest collapse of the economy in history. Unfortunately there was a GOP Senate and WH to contend with. Doing nothing was not an option. A clear display how both parties are not the same. Everything would be different if Hillary were Pres.

I can see Mets' scenario happening if Trump loses big time. Many Republicans keep their lips pressed to his ass because they're afraid of the Republican base. The far right took over the party and they follow Trump like a messiah figure. But if the cracks start to show and he gets trounced in the election, I can imagine a number of Republicans jumping ship if it means saving their skins/political careers. After Bush left office in 2008, he was absolutely toxic. They didn't even want him to appear in person at the RNC. Trump will never be as unpopular as Bush was within his own party as he will always have a large contingent of white nationalists and conspiracy theorist on his side.

I think it will really depend on what Fox News decides to do after he leaves office. They're all in with him right now, but if he's no longer profitable they may change the narrative.

You're not thinking outside of the buildings where those calls were made.

I actually believe that Pelosi is smart enough to have said "When This Gets Handed Out, It Better Not Get Within A Mile Of Me..." or "Hey, You've Got A Point. This Fat Cash Should Not Have Got Within A Mile Of Me..."

Instead, we got the usual "Hey, I tried..." bit.

It's not like they have no means outside of what is actually on paper to make sure Democratic members of Congress take(or don't take...) taxpayer money that should have gone to small business.

It's more like "Someone With An Agenda Of Their Own Who Was Just Drafting In Hopes That They Would Wind Up In A Better Position..."

    Same for Scaramucci or Bolton.

Even "Friend..."/"Associate..." feels like a stretch.

I don't think Trump has ever had ANY real friends, save perhaps for Roy Cohn. In his world, there are only lackeys, henchmen, bootlickers and sycophants.

I always thought Donald comes from a family of draft dodgers and fools. Regarding Don Jr., the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Ivanka is probably the most intelligent of Donald's 5 kids but she has no more integrity than her father. But to my surprise, some of his family are smarter than other Trumps.

John G. Trump was an American electrical engineer, inventor, and physicist. A professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1936 to 1973, he was a recipient of the National Medal of Science medal and a member of the National Academy of Engineering. John Trump was noted for developing rotational radiation therapy. Moreover, he co-developed one of the first million-volt X-ray generators. He was the paternal uncle of President Donald Trump.

Maryanne Trump Barry is a former United States Circuit Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, appointed by President Bill Clinton. She is the eldest sister of U.S. President Donald Trump. Despite being under scrutiny for tax evasion schemes with her siblings, Maryanne still has more honor and integrity than Donald.

Her reputation on the bench was that of a tough judge with strong command of her courtroom. In 1989, while a district court judge in Newark, New Jersey, she disapproved a plea bargain that would have freed two county detectives accused of protecting a drug dealer, and forced the case to trial. The detectives were convicted and received jail terms. She also presided over the conviction of Louis Manna, the Genovese crime family mobster accused of plotting to assassinate rival John Gotti.

According to Mary L. Trump's book, Maryanne never believed Donald would win the election. She knew he was too narcissistic, too immature and too irresponsible to be the President of the United States.

Mary L. Trump, who is the niece of Donald Trump and author of an anti-Donald book called "Too Much and Never Enough" is a psychologist,

How is this idiot-in-chief related to a honored physicist/engineer, a federal judge and a psychologist?

Trump's been pampered and protected from consequences all his life. How could he not be an idiot?

Trump's father kept him out of Vietnam (probably knew he wouldn't have lasted one day there), bought him that degree from the Wharton School (where one of his teachers said he was stupid) and gave him that fat chunk of money to get him started in business instead of making him earn his own way. So, it's no wonder Trump believes the world revolves around him and that consequences are for everyone else, not him.
