I even like the new Press Secretary. This all feels so wrong. I’m not used to competent people with warm personalities occupying the White House.

I don't how likely it would be for Blumenthal to lose his seat.
Last time he ran, he got almost twice as many votes as his Republican opponent (1,008,714 vs. 552,621).

We’ve come a long way since the press secretary lied about the size of the president’s inauguration crowd size on his behalf four years ago.

This woman didn’t overly impress me but she’s a transparent which America desperately need in these times. So I’ll take what I can get.

Biden's already taken to redecorating the Oval Office. He's removed the portrait of Andrew Jackson and other Trump stuff and put in a bust of Cesar Chavez, MLK and RFK and he's centered his Office around a big portrait of FDR. He's also put more portraits than anyone before it seems.

In some ways the choice doesn't speak about Biden but more about the expectations and ideas the electorate has of him. Like I doubt if Cesar Chavez really did have such a big impact on him. But Biden wants the people who voted for him to see aspects of their expectations in his office.
He has pictures of Beau in his office.

AOC's seen as Bernie's successor...and certainly not "the next HRC" for sure, lol.

The thing about Cortez is that she's smart and interested in power and coalition building. Her model is Bernie Sanders and not Ralph Nader. Nader sabotaged the Dems, ruined his reputation and sullied his earlier activism in a narcissistic election campaign, Sanders has selflessly inserted himself into the governing process and now ranks Chairman of the Senate Budgetary Commitee.

And besides...if AOC wants to raise her profile for a primary, she'd be better off running for President (which she's absolutely set to do somewhere down the line).

I don't see her running against Schumer anytime soon.

Well every president has photos of their family in their office, I was referring to decorations and displays, stuff not related to that.

It's just clear as day that Biden misses Beau terribly.

No doubt about that, I was more interested in the non-personal and non-familial stuff. Wasn't trying to be insensitive or anything.

Minor disappointment in what I've seen out of Biden thus far...

While he is apparently addressing aid to Central America?

It's still apparently "Business As Usual..." as far as even saying out loud that the instability from the Rio Grande South is largely driven by internal U.S. policy.

In the year 2021, and it isn't even being said. Never mind actually addressed in any serious fashion.

Not much of a surprise, but still a downer.

All that said, doesn't rule out that it could be in the cards.

Meanwhile in 'vulpes nuntium' world, people just can't stop being entertainers instead of actually communicating substantive information. Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson and the rest just won't let it go. Whatever the 100x version of doubling down is, they're going to do it.

    30 gotta be 30.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

On the one hand, I see what you are saying.

    On the other hand?

    "Give Him A Little Time..."?

That is exactly how we wound up where we are. So...

How much time are we talking?

    A Month?

    A Year?

    One Term?
