Not enough melanin for the cops to be able to claim they ‘feared for their lives’ and get away with it.

I really hope the store just kicked them out, recorded their names and will call the police on them for trespassing if they show up again.

Can you imagine those girls being banned from Target in 8ish years? That's like a death penalty if you asked my wife.

Imagine aligning with that bullshit, but then trying to talk the “fiscal conservative” game when your party sends us into a recession every time they’ve been in power in the last 20 years.

This Republican socialism boogieman nonsense is just so absurd when you stop and consider the **** the GOP peddle on a daily basis.

Another example why we need to get Trump out of the White House ASAP [and maybe some serious therapy].
That speech had Stephen Miller’s fingerprints all over it since the only history Trump cares about is what he had for dinner last night. Meanwhile, this vile **** sounds like something straight out of the Nazi playbook as in, let’s focus on white nationalist history while ignoring stuff like slavery, Jim Crow, the Trail of Tears, Japanese internment, bias against gays, everything snowflake right wingers and conservatives don’t want their kids to know about.

Lol. That's just mean! I LOVE it! I know a guy who was banned for life from a grocery store for stealing cold medicine when he and his girlfriend were out of work and fighting pneumonia. Why cant these idiots get a permaban...?

Stephen Miller is the Dark Helmet to Trump's President Skroob...

It would all be hilarious if it wasn’t so terrifyingly real...

On a positive note, it recently rained here outside Portland, OR. Not much, but the air quality the next day was a DRASTIC improvement. When I went outside to work in the yard, there was an actual sun in the sky, not just a blood-red/demon-eye orange dot peeking through the smoke.

    Progress!

    This is truly disgusting.

The same week we find out that immigrant women are getting forced hysterectomies. Stephan Miller using his Goebbels playbook again.

The fact that Stephen Miller is a Jewish man masterminding all of this awfulness against ‘the unwanted other’ of the modern day just makes what he’s doing so much more disgusting.

    While it makes perfect sense?

Target actually does it and right-wing kook media turns the whole thing into Pump Up The Volume.

While I don't like the idea of just completely letting them slide, it probably makes more sense to just keep the spotlight off of them.

That’s the part I’ve never been able to understand. No way this is the end result of simple self-loathing to make himself feel more superior to other races, Miller must have been a bad seed from childhood to be so damn evil today, hell, even his own family is said to hate him. All the more reason to hope Biden wins so we can get monsters like Miller out of government before they cause irreparable damage to this country.

    https://thehill.com/changing-america...rittenhouse-as

An English teacher at a Dallas high school is under investigation after listing Kyle Rittenhouse, the suspect in a fatal Kenosha shooting, as "a hero for the modern age."

Kristian Hernandez told NBC 5 News her younger brother, a senior at W.T. White High School in Dallas, sent her family a screenshot of the assignment on Tuesday.

“My brother was really in disbelief that this was actually an assignment he was getting,” Hernandez told NBC 5. “The juxtaposition of George Floyd’s name and Kyle’s name was just astounding."

The screenshot has since been posted in a public Facebook group called Reform Dallas, which advocates for transparency in government, and soon spread to Twitter — spelling mistakes and all (The names Mahatma Gandhi and Malcolm X were spelled wrong).

They are upset about Kyle being listed but not upset about George Floyd? WOW!

    Who did George Floyd kill?

    S.ketSeptember 17, 2020 at 5:33 pm
Floyd has more than a decade-old criminal history at the time of the arrest and went to jail for atleast 5 times
George Floyd was the ringleader of a violent home invasion
He plead guilty to entering a woman’s home, pointing a gun at her stomach and searching the home for drugs and money, according to court records
Floyd was sentenced to 10 months in state jail for possession of cocaine in a December 2005 arrest
He had previously been sentenced to eight months for the same offense, stemming from an October 2002 arrest.
Floyd was arrested in 2002 for criminal trespassing and served 30 days in jail
He had another stint for a theft in August 1998.
Im sure at some point in his criminal career he killed someone either on purpose or by association.
S.Ket didn't answer the question and many in the comment section defended the teacher.

Trying to avoid a 10 page argument here that will end up in a reprimand, but as someone with honours degree in history....this really gets my goat, and is why I've come to despise the culture war.

History should never be distorted for political agendas, because it undermines its credibility as a science.

The 1619 project was not written by a historian, it was written by a politically motivated New York Times journalist, and has been thoroughly discredited by several liberal historians for omitting key data in historical facts.

If implemented Donald Trump's patriotic history will be far worse than the 1619 project, not because its right or left wing, but because now the federal government will be omitting key historical facts.

The narrative of history should be soley constructed on all the empirical evidence that has been gathered to paint the most accurate picture of the past possible, otherwise you mind as well just delete history departments from Universities across the US.

Seconded. History no longer has to be written by the victor. We have enough tools to compile an accurate - or reasonably so - and unbiased look at it. Sometimes, otherwise good people do baaaaaaad things. We shouldn’t flinch away from the very real bad of our collective pasts, but we can’t dwell on it. We need to look at the good and think about how it stood up against the bad. And what we can LEARN from that. It’s part of us, the good and the bad. Erasing or weighting things in favor of one or the other just erases a piece of ourselves in the process.

Look how long we’ve been telling the stories of the Greek myths, just as one example. Those heroes and their histories got all tied up in the mythologizing, but we remember them, and the lessons they taught, not because they were pious paragons of virtue who did nothing wrong, but because they drank and screwed and messed up EPICALLY...and LEARNED from their mistakes or died by them. Just like real people do! Mythologizing the Founders really only works if you retain their flaws and accept them as the reality and LEARN from them. Otherwise, they’re just...two-dimensional characters in a cheap shadow play.

    And worth about as much...

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/qanon-all...181453279.html

More and more qanon and white supremacists are getting GOP senate nods. Although, white supremacists being in bed with the GOP isn't something new but now they are legitimizing qanon.

And some GOP supporters wonder why a vast majority of minorities vote democrat.
