Agreed. He's done too much damage to ever be forgotten

“Do you miss me yet?” Trump started, before telling the CPAC audience that he’s going to “continue to fight right by your side.”
Fact check: Trump's incitement speech on 1/6 involved him using the word "fight" a lot. It was literally a sticking point between impeachment managers and his inept defense team, who tried claiming that telling the crowd to "fight" non-stop was not a call to incitement, in spite of it being as clear as it gets. By Trump using it literally IN HIS OPENING SENTENCE at CPAC, he is of course, showing no regret, and trying to stoke a second attempt at an insurrection.

And our second point being, "fight by your side". He's a coward who went to watch his idiot followers try and murder members of Congress and his VP on cable news back at the White House. He can't continue to "fight by their side" because he never does fight.

On this date in 2015, “Crazy/Stupid Republican of the Day” profiled Allen Weh, a failed candidate in races to be the Governor of New Mexico, and the U.S. Senator from there, as well. Weh was directly involved in the 2005 U.S. Attorney Scandal, being found to have sent requests to Karl Rove to fire David Iglesias, the U.S. Attorney from New Mexico, who was eventually dismissed for partisan reasons. Weh also is a backer of Arizona’s anti-immigrant law, SB 1070, partially because he owns a company that gets paid $700 per immigrant shipped back home via plane. Weh is also an advocate of the flat tax (making economists point and laugh at him), and went on record to say that President Obama’s policies “smacked of socialism”. Weh is now 79, and is not expected to ever win an election, should he even attempt to run again.

It was in both 2016, and in 2017, that “Crazy/Stupid Republican of the Day” posted profiles about Susan DeLemus, a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives whose wide-eyed stare does not seem to suit someone of rational mind. That unsettling gaze does not belie her wackiness, by any stretch, as DeLemus is a passionate believer in the Obama Birther Conspiracy to the extent that she caused other legislators to lock themselves in their offices at points to avoid having to deal with her furious insistence that Barack Obama was not a legitimate president. While during her first term in office, DeLemus supported a bill to sue the federal government for he Affordable Care Act, but in her second term apparently decided to just stop showing up to vote on bills altogether. Instead, it seems she was busy alternating her time with her husband in supporting the domestic terrorists related to Cliven Bundy, and rallying under the banner of one Donald J. Trump during the 2016 presidential race, pretending to be a “independent voter” in a CNN Panel until she was outed by some people who recognized her from her previous antics in the New Hampshire legislature. She believes many of Donald Trump’s most paranoid conspiracies even outside of the Birther movement… she also believes Cheeto Mussolini that there were "thousands of Muslims celebrating in Jersey City on 9/11". She also insists in that Barack Obama lies all the time and that Trump would never lie to us, as she herself lied right into the camera on CNN, saying she had "never been involved in politics" in spite of being a twice-elected state representative. Oh, and in February 2016, after Pope Francis spoke and said that "people who build walls aren't Christian", she rose to the defense of The Donald by getting on Facebook to warn everyone that “The Pope is the anti-Christ. [sic] Do your research. I’m not sure who the Pope truly has in his heart.” And mercifully, Susan DeLemus was booted from office by voters in 2016, when she was defeated by Democrat Chuck Grassie by 106 votes. She has yet to re-emerge.

On this date in 2018, “Crazy/Stupid Republican of the Day” profiled Robert Morrow, the former Chairman of the Travis County, Texas Republican Party who, and we’re not going to mince words, if just f***ing nuts. His tenure began in June of 2016, and ended after only two months of insanity because he decided he should run for president as a write-in candidate. His supposed qualifications for office were his experience in sharing conspiracy theories and inappropriate comments about women on Twitter. We can’t even begin to cover all his conspiracy theories, including the insistence that Lyndon Baines Johnson facilitated the murder of John F. Kennedy and belief that Rick Perry and many in the Bush family participate in homosexual adultery or his presumption that he was “Pretty sure George W. Bush can suck a d*** better than Hillary Clinton”. Morrow tried ambushing Chelsea Clinton at a book signing, co-wrote an insane conspiracy theory book about the Clintons with Roger Stone of all f***ing people, and insisted on wearing a three-belled jesters hat in several photos, because sometimes, you just have to own being a fool. We can’t even begin to get into how utterly bats*** Robert Morrow is, but when you’re too crazy for the Texas GOP, that… that says something.

On this date in 2019, “Crazy/Stupid Republican of the Day” profiled Gilbert Pena, a former member of the Texas House of Representatives from District 144, squeaking into office by 152 votes in the 2014 elections, his third attempt to weasel his way into office. Pena immediately joined anti-LGBTQ madwoman Debbie Riddle in her transphobic culture war, making it his mission in his one term in office to prevent anyone from showing any sort of tolerance for transgender citizens to use the bathroom that applied to their sexual identity, rather than their birth. Specifically, Gilbert Pena’s “smaller government” idea was to jail building managers who accommodate transgender citizens using the restroom of their gender identity to be jailed for up to two years, and fined $10,000 while the person who used the restroom would be jailed for one year and fined $4,000. About six weeks later, Pena was at it again, specifically targeting a bill at school children and offering a $2,000 bounty to students using the “wrong” bathroom. Because nothing is more sane than financially rewarding children for bigotry. Pena’s other voting record history shows he was hard to the right on pushing for anti-choice legislation and that he was pro-gun enough to vote for the legalization of firearms on college campuses, because apparently high schools getting shot up wasn’t enough of a bother, and the Virginia Tech massacre never happened. He was toppled from office in 2016, and failed to avenge that loss in 2018. He is now batting .200 in attempts to reach office, and the one term he got there should be enough of a reminder of why he should be kept from it permanently.

On this date in 2020, “Crazy/Stupid Republican of the Day” profiled Michael Moates, a 2020 candidate for U.S. House of Representatives in Texas’ 26th Congressional District who is more renowned for being a conservative troll who does his best to promote the Qanon Conspiracy Theory (the one that insists opponents of Donald Trump are Satan-worshipping, child-molesting cannibals), and has been given temporary bans from Twitter for encouraging Donald Trump to order ICE to shoot at migrants crossing the border on sight. And… go figure, Moates’ campaign would have likely been doomed from the start, but it was truly screwed when he was called out by several anti-choice protesters who he approached as allies, and then immediately started being a creepy bastard and hitting on teenage girls protesting at Planned Parenthood clinics. Multiple girls, aged 15-17. That ended his aspirations of reaching elected office only 10 days into his campaign. Go figure, the guy who insists Democrats are all pedophiles was trying to pick up on underage girls. Moates is currently attempting to file copyright claims against websites that mention him and use his photo, which does not usually turn out well for him (he usually is getting bans for it). Who could Anyway, we’re going to set aside his profile to take a look at a different wacky Republican today instead. (Current crazy/stupid scoreboard, is now 970-45, since this was established in July 2014.

    Catherine Carr

Welcome to what is the 970th profile here at “Crazy/Stupid Republican of the Day”, where we’ll be profiling Catherine Carr, a 2020 candidate for U.S. House of Representatives in Texas’ 13th Congressional District, who refers to herself as Catherine “I swear” Carr, and we’re not sure if that’s her insisting she believes she tells the truth, or she’s warning everyone that she’s gonna cuss up a storm. Her… answer when asked what she was asked in a forum what she would do to help her district is a good place to start this profile, because we’re gonna say it’s kind of… well…

"There’s so many wonderful places here, but the potholes will deter people from coming. And they could make art things. You know they could make a square of all kinds of things. Have music and everything. And they could get funded. Federally funded from the National Endowment of the Arts and other funds. So I see a lot of promise for the 13th congressional district, and also in farming and agriculture because of hemp."
You’re probably not going to win a ton of votes as a Republican by supporting the arts, but “art things” as a way of discussing them? And “potholes keep people from coming”? Is that meant as they’re an annoyance, or they’re so deep it’s like a moat keeping drivers out?

While that answer was so dumb, the news channel ceased to ask her any more questions, it’s still not the most ridiculous thing she was campaigning on. Because this profile is yet another GQP feature, where we talk about how there’s someone who meets the Venn diagram of “Republican running for Congress” and “Qanon conspiracy theory supporter”.

And we’re not just talking about using the hashtags or saying the slogan… Catherine Carr has the Q madness something fierce. She repeatedly has insisted that there are pedophilic Democratic overlords drinking adenochrome harvested from children, and went as far as to claim that Covid-19 was around since 2018 and was only being reported on in 2020 to sabotage Donald Trump’s hopes in his quest for a second term in office:

Catherine Carr finished a absolutely pathetic 14th out of a possible 15 candidates in the Republican Primary for the seat, getting all of 707 votes. The guy in second? Well, that was former White House Physician and raging boozehound Dr. Ronny Jackson, who we also should get around to profiling at some point for gaslighting the country about what good physical and mental health Donald Trump was in.

I didn't watch the speech, but I've heard Trump called out the Qpublicans who voted to impeach him BY NAME. I hope they ramp up their security, because chances are they're gonna need it, especially after Donnie Dangerously aimed his lemmings at the Capitol on 1/6.

Speaking of, there are the Trump morons who because of Qanon, believe he will be inaugurated for his second term on 3/4.

Bears watching if the motherf***ers who booked at the Trump DC Hotel are going to be trying some criminal activity on Thursday in his name.

With the National Guard in town, I'm guessing Trump's loony legion probably won't try anything. Heavy emphasis on "won't".

It's like they're threatening violence every week now. I figure they know they can't get away with anything right now, but are hoping to cry wolf until people stop taking them seriously.

Never presume they're not crazy enough to f*** around and find out. Not after 1/6.

How Pro-Trump Forces Pushed a Lie About Antifa at the Capitol Riot

At 1:51 p.m. on Jan. 6, a right-wing radio host named Michael D. Brown wrote on Twitter that rioters had breached the United States Capitol — and immediately speculated about who was really to blame. “Antifa or BLM or other insurgents could be doing it disguised as Trump supporters,” Mr. Brown wrote, using shorthand for Black Lives Matter. “Come on, man, have you never heard of psyops?”

Only 13,000 people follow Mr. Brown on Twitter, but his tweet caught the attention of another conservative pundit: Todd Herman, who was guest-hosting Rush Limbaugh’s national radio program. Minutes later, he repeated Mr. Brown’s baseless claim to Mr. Limbaugh’s throngs of listeners: “It’s probably not Trump supporters who would do that. Antifa, BLM, that’s what they do. Right?”
What happened over the next 12 hours illustrated the speed and the scale of a right-wing disinformation machine primed to seize on a lie that served its political interests and quickly spread it as truth to a receptive audience. The weekslong fiction about a stolen election that President Donald J. Trump pushed to his millions of supporters had set the stage for a new and equally false iteration: that left-wing agitators were responsible for the attack on the Capitol.

In fact, the rioters breaking into the citadel of American democracy that day were acolytes of Mr. Trump, intent on stopping Congress from certifying his electoral defeat. Subsequent arrests and investigations have found no evidence that people who identify with antifa, a loose collective of antifascist activists, were involved in the insurrection.

But even as Americans watched live images of rioters wearing MAGA hats and carrying Trump flags breach the Capitol — egged on only minutes earlier by a president who falsely denounced a rigged election and exhorted his followers to fight for justice — history was being rewritten in real time.

CPAC Takeaways: Trump Dominates, and DeSantis and Noem Stand Out

Any lingering belief that Donald J. Trump would fade from the political scene like other past presidents evaporated fully on Sunday as he spoke for more than 90 minutes in a grievance-filled and self-promoting address that sought to polish up his presidential legacy, take aim at his enemies and tease his political future.

Here are six takeaways from the first major Republican gathering of the post-Trump era, the 2021 Conservative Political Action Conference in Orlando, Fla.
    Trump has (almost) total dominance.
‘Cancel culture’ is the new ‘fake news.’
A ‘rigged’ 2020 is now a G.O.P. article of faith.
There was little interest in policy — whether Biden’s or the Republican Party’s.
Kristi Noem is hailed as ‘a female Trump.’
The Republican ‘civil war’ remains very much uncanceled.

A very good conversation about the policy implemented by the Biden Administration to create new facilities to keep children in new migrant facilities.

As long as the Republican donors stand behind Trump, he'll never go away. It's the donor class that holds all the strings and Donnie is their puppet.

And he's their meal ticket to regaining the WH.
