Because no American conservative is going around doing things like that.

And before you come in with, "THAT WASN'T ABOUT COVID-19..."

Feel free to read about several openly discussing it regarding vaccine passports. Including GOP Congressman Madison Cawthorn, and a former Trump administration ambassador to Germany, of all places. To name a few in the article.

Own your party's s***, Mets. And realize that the vaccine fear-mongering they're doing is causing people to die for fear of the disease's prevention.

You seem to be responding to points I haven't made.

I responded politely and correctly to inaccurate criticism.

It seems sketchy to use that as an excuse to criticize me personally.

I would figure that you would not be supportive if the situation were reversed, if a conservative criticized you for trying to change the topic when they had misread it, and when you noted the error, another conservative used it as an excuse to go after you personally and demand that you own your party's ****.
    Sincerely,

I hate it when people mistaken you for the Republican party, I understand you're a Republican but that doesn't make you all the loonies that inhabit the party.
    Fortunately!
Let's keep some nuance, mates. Mets always answer with politeness, and while I may not share some of his beliefs (that maybe because I'm a fucking french socialist!) I know we still have many things in common, one of them being respecting the values of the people in front of us, or so I think.

    Okay, so... it just happened...

100 military top brasses (including several retired generals and some still active members) have published an open letter basically stating that they want the army to launch a Coup d'Etat and purge the mostly Muslim-populated banlieux... In france. 60 years to the day after a putch attemped during the Algerian War.

And our governments, who love to launch an all-out war on the left... is saying nothing. Nothing at all.

Except that they proclaim that they are the rampart against the Far-Right because they want to ban safe-spaces talking groups for people who suffer specifics discriminations (especially racism). I just wanted to put it here. If it blows, it won't be a surprise to you guys, at least.

Republican lawyer is key player in voter suppression drive across US

It was an abrupt end to two decades as a partner at legal giant Foley & Lardner for the influential and conservative election lawyer Cleta Mitchell.

Days after Mitchell participated in Donald Trump’s controversial 2 January phone call with Georgia’s secretary of state where the then president pressured him to “find” him more votes to reverse Joe Biden’s win, Mitchell resigned her post in the midst of an internal firm review and mounting criticism.
But Mitchell, a combative and top lawyer in the right’s drive to promote unproven charges of sizable voting fraud in 2020 and tighten future voting laws, was not idle for long. She has now emerged in a series of roles that have put her at the heart of what many see as a ferocious Republican push on limiting voting rights that now reaches across America.

Last month, Mitchell was tapped by the libertarian FreedomWorks to spearhead a $10m drive in seven key states including Georgia, Arizona and Michigan to change voting laws to curb potential but unproven election fraud, which many Democrats and legal experts view as aimed at limiting minority votes.

According to a FreedomWorks spokesman, another key part of Mitchell’s mission leading its “National Election Protection Initiative”, is to rally opposition to a House-passed bill that in part would expand voting rights nationally which its sponsors see as necessary to counter the conservative assaults on voting rights in many states.

The guys are saying that if the government doesn't apply the policy they want (read, far-right policies, including openly discriminate against Muslim, Arab and African peoples basically) the army will have to intervene to protect our "civilization" and all that utter nonsense. And they aren't the first to say that in a well-known (if horribly far-right) newspaper. Two weeks ago a retired politician, Philippe de Villiers already basically called for the overthrowing of the government to make impose far right ideas in the same paper. Nothing was even said by the government.

Meanwhile, they are actually considering disbanding a student syndicate which exists since more than a century because it has created places where white peoples can't come because the participants are talking about racism, discriminations etc.

And also meanwhile, a royalist group actually assaulted the regional parliement of Occitanie (my region) the other day, they were stopped thankfully. And the Socialiste head of the region... shot at the aforementioned syndicate instead of battling the Far-Right.

Then again, I guess it isn't well known outside of France, but Macron has basically become far-Right, trumpian, president already. I mean, his Minister of the Interior (head of police, basically) went on tv to debate with Le Pen (the Far-Right in France) and called her too weak and that it was shameful that for her "Islam isn't a problem". As a reminder, macron was elected because he was supposed to stop the Far-Right. Today it's higher than ever and from the Center-Left to the traditional Right, all the parties are apping its themes and ideas.

    It's really infuriating.

Here is a translation of the letter : https://www.reddit.com/r/europe/comm...n_open_letter/

Hopefuly I'm not giving view to far-right places, I don't really know them in English-speaking Internet !

One thing I have noticed in the weeks since Biden got his relief package through is the comical thanking Donald Trump for it by conservatives. That somehow Donald Trump has managed to get the package through and fixed the distribution system magically not being in office to get people vaccinated.

The Fifth French Republic was really close to breaking the record of the Third Republic for longest lasting Republican government.

Nearly Half Of Republicans Think Derek Chauvin Verdict Was Wrong, Poll Shows

Well, the only thing I’m shocked about is that this percentage isn’t higher, lol.

More Republicans agree with the verdict than disagree but percentage of disagreement within the party on the verdict is still alarmingly high.
