You seem to be responding to a separate argument. It's perfectly fine to say it's a good thing that Democrats are becoming more socialist, and it doesn't contradict what I said in any way.

Renewable energy isn't going to meet our current energy needs.

It seems to me that if someone truly believes that climate change is an immediate existential threat, they should support nuclear power, despite the downsides.

It is also worth noting that there have been significant innovation in nuclear power that make it safer than it used to be.

It doesn't mean you pull the plug and show no incentive in supporting renewables like Donald Trump.

I don't believe it is an "immediate" existential threat, but I do believe it is a threat if we do not start making the transition now. I will not support nuclear power plants in any capacity. When renewables are not feasible you will have to fall back on coal and oil power plants, preferably hydro power if it is available.

In terms of automobiles, federal initiatives can go a long way in fading out Co 2 emissions in automobiles and promoting the advancement of hybrids and electric cars. My Province is on tract to have zero emission automobiles by 2040.

While Attorney General Bill Barr was outed for trying to charge protesters with sedition, it appears he also wanted to indict Seattle’s mayor.

The New York Times reported Wednesday that Barr was livid that Mayor Jenny Durkan created “protest zones,” to keep protesters isolated in a specific area and away from police. Droopy Dogg is everything Trump wanted in his unofficial consigliere (a.k.a. Attorney General) that Jeff Sessions refused to be. The country can't see the end of that ************ soon enough. It's because Republicans have been running on "taxes" for fucking decades. Taxes are the great boogieman of conservative voters, and Democratic Socialism requires high tax rates.

But what they don't tell you is that unlike in America, you actually get that tax money back in real tangible ways that vastly improve your quality of life. Just ask the people who live in countries that use a Democratic Socialist government. If I have to pay higher taxes in AMerica it sucks, because I see nothing from it. So I want to pay as little into a system that doesn't give a **** about me as possible.

Of course it's not a perfect system, but neither is the one in America.

That is what it boils down to.
