I'm seeing a lot of people suggesting CNN isn't covering the Rolling Stone report. AT&T was recently revealed as being behind One America News Network. AT&T also owns CNN.

Not sure how true the 'CNN is burying this report' is, but AT&T is definitely heavily involved in OANN.

If anyone's hesitant about covering a report, it is worth noting Rolling Stone's big original story in the last decade was a debunked disaster.

Given the events in Oregon and Michigan, I think it's pretty reasonable to think that they had expectations of what a highly motivated set of conservative extremists might get up to, especially with an offer of pardons and the president urging them on.

First of all, I saw many reactions to the story yesterday which treated it as a sort of smoking gun about the involvement of a number of far-right members of Congress. But at least to my understanding this part of the report was not new. Not really new at all. There are basically three parts of the story that we can distinguish for these purposes. 1) The legal/executive power attempt to overturn the election, 2) the “Stop the Steal” rally aimed at pressuring Congress and then 3) the breach of the Capitol complex which happened when then-President Trump told the rally attendees to march on the Capitol complex. But we’ve known basically from the beginning that these members of Congress were involved in 1 and 2. This has not just come out in reporting since January 6th. It was fairly open at the time. Indeed, most of these members were either present or actually spoke at the rally.

There was a gut wrenching story on BBC website yesterday: basically a starving family in Afghanistan sold their baby daughter for 500 dollars to get food to feed rest of family.

It puts in context, how lucky those of us who live in rich countries are.

Chappelle did say one thing in his latest spot where he fired back and says he would do a meeting with trans community. Before this Chappelle made a point to bring up that the News media was more or less trying to paint a narrative of things. And well...he could be right.

The biggest takeaway is Chappelle did a brief moment to fire back on Hannah Gadsby who ripped him 2 weeks ago. Newsweek literally posts this article...and doesn't post her complete words on Chappelle. Instead well....here is the article.

Now it was unique to see Dave say this , then hours later a news site literally tries to paint it like he just attacked this comedian out of nowhere (which has her supporters mad). But again as we see , they literally had the same full statement she made , clipped it to where it doesn't mention him and paints it like he just attacked her out of nowhere.

Huge difference here. The Left will bitch yea. But they wont make fake claims of fraud and keep doing that for years. They wont use that as an excuse to pass BS voter restriction laws. And they damn sure wont send their cult and Thugs to attack the capital and stop the election from being certified. This is not a "Well both sides are sore losers." You posted an example of one person. great job. if I posted a list of the Dumbass GOP nutjobs who go one with the stolen election conspiracy theory I would crash the board. Also a huge crowd of terrorists did not storm a government building with zip ties and weapons while chanting about hanging a government official.

This is not at all a both sides issue like the GOP wants to make it out to be. One party has gone off the rails, supports lies, supports terrorists storming the capital to stop a lawful election with weapons and passes voter suppression laws.

The hackers, affiliated with the hacking collective Anonymous, told The New York Times that the move was part of their “online war against hate.”
Using a false account dubbed “donaldjtrump,” the hackers posted the photos of the pigs, wrote profane rants against Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey and made a fake account for former Trump adviser Steve Bannon, according to multiple reports. The hackers also posted memes from fake accounts for Trump, former Vice President Mike Pence and others.

Any idea what Trump New York hotel is like?

I walked past it a couple of times when I was in New York, looked at room rates and gut feeling (based on how garish outside was) that you’d need to be insane to stay there.
