Building a phone isn't a big deal. All the tech is available. And it will be useless to him if it is Android (he can't use Apple OS). It's the operating system that is complex. And since he can't even get engineers to keep Twitter going, creating a new OS is well beyond him. The infrastructure he needs is far bigger than anything he can do.

His only innovation involves blowing the fortune he fail-son found himself inheriting to buy existing tech, after all.

Wondering if he actually has the funds after buying Twitter at too high a price and crashing its value to shop around to buy an existing tech company that makes phones.

    This gave me a chuckle
Elon Musk Shares Fake CNN Headline, Gets Flagged by Twitter’s Own Fact-Checker

"Twitter CEO Elon Musk just got called out by his own platform’s fact-checker after he shared a fake news headline from CNN. In response, the news outlet called on Musk to “be better.”

“CNN: Elon Musk could threaten free speech on Twitter by literally allowing people to speak freely,” read the headline of the mocked up headline, which featured an image of CNN’s Don Lemon next to a photo of Musk. The tweet — which afterward was flagged by Twitter’s checker notification — was posted early in the morning on Nov. 28.

Following the flag, CNN’s communications Twitter account responded to the tweet, saying “This headline never appeared on CNN. Be better.” About three hours later, Musk replied to CNN with the slang text term for laughing: “Lmaooo."

And like Microsoft found out it is too late in the game to try and wedge in a new OS other than Android and Apple. App compatibility, user adoption if Microsoft couldn't do it he definitely cant especially as he keeps tainting his name and businesses with the wild antics and flirting with right wing crazies.

What existing company that makes phones is still out there? Nokia? Motorola? Blackberry?

Don't know, but a lot of businesses might not want to make a deal with a guy enabling bigots and Nazis to use his platform. Some money just isn't green enough.

He did not inherit a fortune. His dad gave him around $30,000. He got very lucky when the failing financial tech company he partially owned was bought by the company that became PayPal.

And making phones isn't the answer, as long as they are Android or Apple, Twitter can be de-platformed. He does not have the where-with-all to create a new operating system to compete with them.

He can't even find enough engineers to keep Twitter going. A phone OS is exponentially more complex.

In other words, he's painted himself into a corner that Apple & Android made smaller. And he's stuck in it with Nazis.

He's a Justin Hammer pretending he's Tony Stark, basically.

He could become a front for Huawei, now that the Biden admin banned them for security reasons.

Musk doesn't have moves anywhere near this sweet.

What are the chances that the bill congress is putting forward to avoid the rail road strike will pass? Is there any talk of any one blocking it?

They need every Dem to vote for it in the Senate, since the GOP would love to see the economy take a hit.

The Only thing I heard on it is Sanders will try and block it if they dont put the sick time the unions want in the bill. I figured the GOP would block it to make Biden look bad but I am not sure.

    It has me pretty worried.
