Just noticed that Missouri became the first state to fully criminalize abortion after Roe came down. We're leading the way in being an unlivable garbage place to exist.
Truly, we have no rights but what Republicans allow. None at all.

I'm sure Iowa, Nebraska & Kansas will quickly follow suit.

This Supreme Court decision teaches us two things. First, that we should take NOTHING for granted. Any right that we've won should not be assumed to be forever. And second, that playing the long game works. They just kept chipping away and chipping away and eventually, they got what they wanted. We have to work the same way.

Yes, they've been playing the long game on more than one board for a long time now.

If people think this Roe v Wade decision is bad, wait until they they take over the rest of the government.

The late great George Carlin pointed out that we don't have rights, we have privileges. His basis for this belief was the policy the U.S. government held from 1942 to 1945. The policy that decided that people of Japanese descent, including U.S. citizens, would be incarcerated in camps. Their rights were taken away. If they can be taken away then they were never rights. They were privileges.

The house just passed the compromise gun control bill, 14 House Republicans joining the Democrats in voting for it. It will now head to Biden's desk.

it is amazing how much hate I have see for Hillary today. And how this is her fault for losing to Trump. And for the Dems for not voting for her.

Blame her and the Voters and not the GOP who had been planning this for years and made no secret about it.

Never mind that the GOP blocked Obamas nominee. never mind that RGB refused to retire because she wanted a woman to name her replacement. So if we blame Hillary part of the blame must also fall on RGB.

While not nearly enough, it is at least some forward momentum on a plague we have been stuck in year after year. The bad thing is this will be the shield the GOP uses now to never revisit again. And it takes away the inevitable "beholden to the NRA" taglines they would have to run against.

But no one was shot in the back. Republicans shot folks in the front. It was the whole point of not confirming Garland. Entering the 2016 election, everyone knew there'd be at least one seat. Kennedy probably would've stuck around in a Hillary presidency, but she'd have gotten the Scalia and RBG replacements.
