Police: Richmond riots instigated by white supremacists disguised as Black Lives Matter

RICHMOND, Va. – Riots in downtown Richmond over the weekend were instigated by white supremacists under the guise of Black Lives Matter, according to law enforcement officials.

Protesters tore down police tape and pushed forward toward Richmond police headquarters, where they set a city dump truck on fire.
Police declared the event an “unlawful assembly” and ordered people to leave, later deploying tear gas.

Six people were arrested. The mayor of Richmond thanked the Black Lives Matter protesters he said tried to stop the white supremacists from spearheading the violence.

That’s been going on since the protests began way back in early June. There had been reports here in Philadelphia that whites mixed in with black protestors instigated some of the riots back then, so what happened in Richmond came as no surprise.

The Senate GOP just introduced an unpassable bill because they want the Democrats to kill it. That way they don't actually have to give people any money, but they can spin it as "the Democrats taking your money away". I wonder how much the momentum will matter considering that Mitch McConnell prides himself on being an anchor around all our necks dragging us to a halt.

I said the last time this happened the Democrats should have been in front of it and got a bill in this house that was better that they could sell. They waited and added shit that was unnecessary and got in a position where they needed to negotiate their extra noting measures out of it, instead of for more accountable on the corporate side.

    They suck at this game.

Interesting article, but Cotton's not the heir for Trumpism, as he only meets one to two of the four pillars of right wing populism.

    1. Immigration (Yes) He's opposed to DACA and criticized Tump for approving visa's to foreign workers into the country.

    2. Economic Nationalism (No) He's a proponent of free trade, and this is the big one, as it's the primary reason Trump flipped the mid west rust belt

    3. Isolationism (No) He's a major hawk and proponent of NATO, which would disqualify him from Russian support, surprised he didn't support Clinton.

    4. Demagogue (Yes/No) He's articulate and speaks intelligently, and he's not afraid to engage in inflammatory or controversial remarks, but I say no, because he just doesn't have the charisma needed to capture the presidency.

He's definitely a dangerous authoritarian from what I've read, but I don't see him as either Trump's heir or the next Republican president, though he could remain a notable senator like Rand Paul & Ted Cruz.

Actually they didn't suck the last time. People's biggest memories and shocking is how Joe Manchin called out Mitch on the Senate floor for his terrible bill. A fact that the clip was big on Youtube where Manchin had people applaud him BIG TIME. He changed the course of things because Republicans were starting to spin it that weekend. But all it took was a speech by Manchin detailing that Mitch could throw all the money at Wallstreet while Hospitals and front line workers deserved help !

The course changed , Republicans came to the table soon after. And both parties met in the middle. The last bill would have been 10x worse. But well...a speech changed all that and we got a meet in middle deal days later.

Yeah the Dems stole bread crumbs but the Reps stole bakeries.

Herman Cain Remains Hospitalized 1 Month After COVID-19 Diagnosis

So he is still in hospital? Well he is 74 years old and previously has survived cancer. Glad to know he is still recovering.

I'd expect someone with a bachelor's degree in mathematics and a master's degree in computer science to take the covid-19 threat seriously. Maybe he will learn to wear a mask and practice social distancing and other hygiene rules after getting the "common cold" as they label it.

Trader Joe's workers in NYC assaulted by 2 men who refused to wear masks, police say

Police in New York City arrested two men who they say attacked workers at a Trader Joe's after they were advised that they had to wear masks in the store.

The men entered a Trader Joe's store on East 32nd Street at approximately 8:50 p.m. July 14, a police spokeswoman said.

Several employees told police that they asked the men to leave the store because they refused to wear masks to protect against the spread of the coronavirus, the spokeswoman said.

The suspects, John Carrero and Alejandro Escobar, both 34, refused to leave and pulled a mask off the face of one of the employees, police said.

Carrero hit a 22-year-old female employee in the head with a paddle and Escobar then stated that he would return to the store with a firearm, which police said caused "fear and alarm to employees and customers inside of the store."

After leaving the store, Escobar struck a store window with a chair in an attempt to regain entry, according to police. Carrero and Escobar were both arrested and each faces charges including disorderly conduct, harassment and criminal trespassing.

You’d think someone who survived cancer and probably had a compromised immune system as a result would’ve known better than to take the godawful risk that he had. However, Republicans like Cain check their brains and common sense at the door when it comes to kissing up to Trump. Call me callous, but I can’t bring myself to feel the least bit sorry for Cain who chose to play Russian Roulette and paid the price for his arrogance.

Knew it was gonna be a laugher after Nadler basically destroyed him with the question about whether or not he discussed reelection stuff with Trump(Nadler also shut Gym Jordan the hell up with a nice line that I can't find right now). Cedric Richmond telling Barr to keep John Lewis' name out of the DOJ's mouth was choice as well. Seriously, every POC on the HJC killed Barr all day and it was glorious to watch.

Tom Cotton – The Holocaust “A Necessary Evil”

AP) Only days ago, after asserting that “slavery was a necessary evil,” Tom Cotton was defending himself of against charges of being racist. Now, the Arkansas senator has found himself embroiled in yet another controversy after telling The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette that “the Holocaust was also a necessary evil.” Appearing earlier today on the Fox New Channel’s morning show Fox and Friends, Cotton justified his remarks, arguing that “absent the Holocaust, Israel would not be a country today.”

Claiming that the editors of the newspaper had “taken my words out of context,” Cotton pointed out that “Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East” and that were it not for Hitler and the murder of six million Jews, “the Chosen People would be scattered all over the world.”

After co-host Steve Doocy pushed back, pointing out that, “thanks to George W. Bush, Iraq is also a democracy,” co-host Brian Kilmeade reminded viewers that Cotton had served in the infantry in both Iraq and Afghanistan, which, Kilmeade said, is, technically, a democracy as well.

“Thank you for your service,” said third co-host Ainsley Earhardt, adding that the Arkansas senator had graduated from Harvard Law School.

Cotton went on to explain that, according to the book of Revelations, “it is absolutely necessary for the Jews to be in Israel” so that “the Beast can be destroyed at the Second Coming of Christ.”
I thought this might be a parody, a joke, but maybe not.
