You cannot have a healthy economy without a healthy public.

And the lack of federal support for small businesses is bullshit. I work for one, and it's not getting the help it needs.
And while we know that the lockdowns and shuttered businesses need to happen, it still makes it awful for the business.

I know these shitgibbons are always voting against their best interests, but this takes it to a new level. By all means, toxic MAGAc**ts, deliver the Senate to the Democrats so we can truly start reshaping the nation for the better.

EDIT: Don't why the goddamn link isn't working, but it's a Politico article detailing how MAGA crowd is encouraging a boycott of the George run-offs because the elections are all fraudulent and they're even criticizing the two GOP Senate candidates of having a hand in all this imaginary voter fraud. Some even claim they're not Trumpy enough.

The cops only get involved after the deed has already been done, so unless you want to institute some kind of pre-crime division, actually preventing sexual assault means setting rules and standards that can effectively deter that kind of behavior, which means clamping down on the kind of stuff that leads to assault before it actually crosses the line.

Oh yeah, Anthony Weiner was one.
Okay, but if these were people in your state that you could vote for, what would you do at that point?

And I know it's not exactly apples to apples, but the idea seems to be that conservatives should be throwing in the towel and voting... democrat, I guess? Like, what do we expect them to do? What would you or I do? What are the options in a (be realistic) 2 party system where the two sides are wildly opposed?

Weiner was my Congressman. You will have to give me an example of a Democrat who was indicted or accused of some of these sitting GOP politicians are and ask me about them.

Bob Menendez, Senator from NJ was put on trial, but found not guilty.

As for what Republicans should do? Maybe ask that person to step down or not run and put an ethical person in their place. That is what happen to Al Franken (even though that was a frame up by Roger Stone) The GOP doesn't remove their trash. They give them leadership positions.

I have to agree with Kirby101's view on party discipline. It seems like when a Dem gets problematic, there's a top-down press on the incumbent. When it happens in the GOP (almost always for policy heresy, like insufficient obsequence to the leadership), they find an ambitious wannabe to run on the heretical incumbent's right in the next primary.

This. Many victims have gone to law enforcement and the law enforcement often either dismisses the claim out of hand or actually sides with the alleged attacker.

They are told that she said/he said cases won't be prosecuted.

Time after time, the GOP chose to circle the wagons and protect their fellow scumbags when they’re caught instead of jettisoning them as Democrats often do. Republicans think laws don’t apply to them, so they have no problem sticking up for their buddies, no matter what sort of crimes they commit.

That, too. But on a college campus, if the victim is a freshman or sophomore co-ed, and the attacker is a tenured professor, or a popular football or basketball player, what do you think is going to happen when the victim goes to the police?

Some of them have urged voters in Georgia to write in Donald Trump in BOTH run-off elections. Of course the whole point of a run-off is to narrow down the choices to just two, so that one of them will win a majority of votes. But no matter. It's not like these ass-hats really know how elections work anyway.
