The lawsuits just keep getting crazier with each passing day. I’m eagerly waiting for one of those ambulance chasers to say Biden and Democrats were in cahoots with aliens to throw the election. Meanwhile, what I want to know is when does it get to the point where judges see Trump lawyers coming and tell them not to waste their time?

I'm waiting to see which judge / court finally starts to lay their gavel down on them and start meting out fines for filing frivolous lawsuits. The only reason they are doing it as to pacify the big Orange Brat and stay in his favor.

I consider myself a centrist politically and I'm hardly wealthy, and I take **** from the far right and the far left.

From the left specifically, I'm demonized because I believe identity politics is a double-edged sword that does more harm than good and that "cancel culture" is crowd-sourced stupidity. And while I believe there are valid arguments to silence certain voices (Trump being a prime example), I believe that other voices the Far Left has attempted to silence are relatively innocent (J.K. Rowling does not want to see transfolk led to the gas chambers).

From the right specifically, I'm demonized for my sexuality, for generally approving of Pope Francis, for loathing Corporate America and policies of isolationism and "America As World Cop," and for perceived elitism because I place a lot of value on education and have high intellectual standards for anybody that holds public office.

So it appears that Jenna Ellis now has been diagnosed with Covid. With days left before things go to be certified by the Electoral college and with Rudy out now and Ellis I have to wonder if this is a saving tactic. To disappear in shame and claim that the virus is what made them quit , not the fact the lawsuits had failed for weeks. And both made themselves look like complete fucking idiots in Michigan with the parade of people they put through.

Crazy like a fox. The more outlandish the charges, the more buzz is created, the more buzz translates into donations to the legal fund.

I said relatively innocent. You'll not find me arguing against repercussions for outrageous/harmful/dangerous views and opinions. But at the same time, people should be able to distinguish apples from oranges.

Trump practically gave marching orders to the KKK and now he and his supporters are inciting violence and social unrest based on outright lies. The threat level from Trump is much more severe than, say, an author of children's books expressing concern over which gender-designated public restrooms transfolk can or should be able to use. We should also distinguish between their characters. Trump seems like he's only ever been a narcissistic shyster and the ease with which the Republican Party allowed him to become a dictator means that he'll never stop trying to keep that level of power. Trump should absolutely be cancelled. Whereas Rowling has some unpopular opinions here and there but has spent her professional career doing immeasurable good for the world, more good than will likely ever be overshadowed by unpopular opinions, from charity work to bolstering literacy rates. Should she be cancelled? No, because Rowling is defined by so much more than a few opinions on the trans debate, as opposed to Trump, who is pretty much solely defined by negative qualities.

The fact that proponents of cancel culture (or at least their social media personas) display an alarming lack of this cognitive dissonance is concerning, and it really keeps me in my politically centrist position. The extremism from some on the far left in regards to any offense, serious or minor, to political correctness is just as bad as the extremism from many on the far right in regards to any offense to the worldview inspired by the Bible.

The right is currently trying to 'reform' social media platofrms because people keep saying mean things about the President.
