Somebody needs to remind Bill that it wasn't the SJWs who took his ABC show off the air, or ended the careers of Cathy Griffith or even Milo Y. It's not the SJWs who were fake mad at Cardi B for "WAP" a couple of months ago or Harry Styles now. And even though Twitter "progressives" are mad at J. K. Rollings now, conservatives have been trying to ban her books from schools for years.

The same guy how wants to break up Twitter and change libel laws so that people can't criticize him. Same guy who wanted to send in Feds to arrest protesters. But, hey...it's "The Left"tm that's out of control "canceling" people.

Most presidents appointed officials from opposing parties. Since the GOP held two-thirds of the U.S. Senate seats, a democratic president Andrew Johnson had no choice but to appoint Republicans to some cabinet posts including Attorney-General, Secretary of War and Secretary of the Interior. In fact, Johnson appointed two Republican attorney generals.

Dubya, a Republican president, appointed a democrat named Norman Mineta as the Transportation Secretary.

Chris Krebs would be a Republican I could see on a Biden cabinet.

Why is it only the Democrats that have to reach across? I never heard people say Trump or McConnell have to work with the Democrats. I doubt Biden appointing a Republican to the cabinet would get a single Republican to support him. They would just call that person a traitor.

I have heard of Republicans reaching across, however, mostly it's less well known Republicans and usually they don't want to make an issue of it. Leaders like McConnell treat Democrats like the enemy.

Doing so is not a way to further your career within the republican Party, but if you have a pet project or something else you feel strongly about, and you need support from the other side, then you can reach out quietly and hope no one notices.

Oh, I understand that. My point with that example was more that you have some folks going, "See! The PC Police are even going after Harry Potter! They're out of control!" Many of these same people were trying to cancel JK for either writing books with witchcraft in them or saying that Dumbledore was gay.

North Carolina state Sen. Bob Steinburg knew he’d get a lot of blowback after suggesting that President Donald Trump could suspend civil liberties to protest an election they both believe was stolen.

And that was fine with him.

The branch, in developing the nomenclature for its tactical face fabric, has opted to officially name it the “Combat Cloth Face Covering” — CCFC for short, although “face mask” is probably still the most time-efficient name for it.
