Anchorage’s Pruitt-Snyder election heads to the Alaska Supreme Court

Anchorage Superior Court Judge Josie Garton said Tuesday that she found no flaws with the way the Alaska Division of Elections counted votes in the close legislative race between incumbent state Rep. Lance Pruitt, R-Anchorage and Democratic challenger Liz Snyder.

In a separate order, she also concluded that Pruitt’s attorneys failed to demonstrate that a late polling place change altered the result of the election.

Snyder defeated Pruitt by 11 votes in the final, recounted result, but Pruitt launched a pair of legal challenges that dispute both the final vote count and the way the election was conducted. In both cases, Garton confirmed Snyder’s victory.

The Alaska Supreme Court will have the final say. It has scheduled oral arguments Jan. 8, and a decision is expected before the 32nd Alaska Legislature begins Jan. 19.

I have not heard of any Democrats dying. Adjacent family, though.

The doctor who criticized Trump's Covid-19's "drive-by" has been removed from the hospital's schedule. It is implied it was because of his criticism of Trump.

Trump cannot accept criticism of every kind. He cannot let a single grudge in his life go. He is pathlogically a motherf***ing d*** to his core.

On this date in 2019, “Crazy/Stupid Republican of the Day” profiled Betty Price, a former member of the Georgia House of Representatives from District 48 who was first elected to office in a special election back in 2015. She is the wife of former Congressman and corrupt Trump Cabinet member Tom Price, and they truly are quite the pair. A bit of cursory research showed us that Betty Price has an interpretation of the 2nd Amendment that seems rather absolute, and that in her brief voting record, that she was opposed to same sex marriages, as evidenced by her vote to allow religious officials to deny performing a marriage ceremony. Now, the main reason we’re profiling Betty Price is how in October of 2017, she pitched the idea of quarantining people mandatorily who were HIV Positive, wondering out loud if there were any legal way to do so, "And I don’t want to say the quarantine word, but I guess I just said it. Is there an ability, since I would guess that public dollars are expended heavily in prophylaxis and treatment of this condition. So we have a public interest in curtailing the spread. What would you advise or are there any methods legally that we could do that would curtail the spread. It seems to me it’s almost frightening the number of people who are living that are potentially carriers, well not carriers, with the potential to spread, whereas in the past they died more readily and at that point they are not posing a risk. So we’ve got a huge population posing a risk if they are not in treatment.” And wouldn’t you know it, when this fascist paranoia about the spread of HIV was reported on by the media, Betty Price had the very predictable response of claiming her comments were “taken out of context”. Even though she was recorded, and that recording was played, and in it, she starts off indicating she didn’t want to say the word “quarantine” because she knew that it was wrong to even suggest such a thing. Betty Price was swept away by the Blue Wave in 2018, being defeated by Democrat Mary Robichaux by 139 votes. This was even though she was caught coaching her own mother into who to vote for at the polls, and admonished for doing so by poll workers in her district. Price felt that the loss to Robichaux was close enough that she demanded a recount, but that only proved she actually lost by 150. American politics are certainly better off without Goody Price.

On this date in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, as well as 2018, “Crazy/Stupid Republican of the Day posted profiles of Indiana State Senator Dennis Kruse, who in the quarter century that he’s worked in Hoosier State politics, whose political philosophies are downright theocratic. You see, Kruse doesn’t believe there should be a separation of church and state, has drafted legislation to make abortion illegal including in cases of rape and incest, sponsored a proposed amendment to the state constitution to ban gay marriage, denies the science of evolution, and tried to not just legalize school prayer but make it mandatory. Oh, and he was the sponsor of Indiana’s SB 101, the anti-gay “religious freedom” law, and after it passed, Dennis Kruse released a statement where he lied his homophobic arse off, trying to claim that the bill wasn’t that bad, and anyone who thought it would create an environment of discrimination “hadn’t read the bill” (They had, and it clearly was.). Even the bills he pitches that aren’t religiously motivated are downright insane, including one that was an attempt to nullify the United Nations Agenda 21 environmental treaty, because he’s convinced it’s a plot to take away citizens’ property rights, somehow.

Kruse won re-election in 2018 after getting to run unopposed yet again for his seat, now bringing his streak to four straight mid-term elections without an opponent since 2006. He has done almost nothing since the Covid-19 pandemic started as a legislator, and prior to it, he made it a point to sponsor legislation to allow retired police officers to carry firearms on public school campuses. Because we need MORE guns in schools. We will continue to monitor him as 2022 approaches, where he will be 76 while running for re-election.

Trump Is Set To Violate Palm Beach Deal By Staying Too Long At Mar-A-Lago. Again.

His repeated violations of his agreement not to use the Florida estate as a residence could jeopardize his permit to operate it as a for-profit resort. Well, violating stuff is what Trump does best.

If anyone sees this who hasn't voted in the cover contest yet, we need a tie breaker.

And to stay on topic: Trump is mentally ill.

My aunt is on one today. Going on a long speech about how Mitch and his move with the $2000 is trying to save the country and it is clear he is the only one who cares. Most people are going to see this and care more about the voter fraud then the $2000.

This ran down hill to how things are going to be so bad with Biden that stores will close we will have food riots and have to eat our pets to survive. And China from their base in Canada will invade with in two weeks of Biden being sworn in.

She of course would love the $2000 but it is more important to have a strong resident and the voter Fraud commission will take Biden out and keep Trump in charge and we will all be so better off next year we will be cheering this move.
