I feel sorry for the families of those that lost loved ones. But this was awful and really showed the kinds of people that support Trump and in reality show what the Republican party is turned into with an ego manic, racist, immature, childish, incompetent, and down right STUPID president as their cult leader. I am kinda glad it happen because this all this can be throw back at them if they come back with demonizing things like BLM etc. It also proved everyone who didn't vote for Trump four years ago RIGHT. He should have never been President and now this dark mark along with all the other dumb things he has done will pretty much get him labeled as the WORST president of all time. If he isn't the worst, he is most certainly the dumbest.

Also, it must have killed him that he couldn't tweet when Biden was certified and even people from his own party were blasting him for the violence. Also, seen some conservative Twitter warriors like Tomi Larhen having a slowly having a mental meltdown on Instagram last night was comedy gold. If they aren't silent they are making things worst like Tucker and Laura who are praising the lady that got shot as some sort of hero SMH.

Some of the police were taking selfies with the terrorists. Do you honestly believe the police would have responded the way they did if this was a BLM protest? (You don't actually have to answer this question, just look at every BLM protests over the past year)

We need to face the uncomfortable reality that conservatives just aren't intelligent or responsible enough to have the same constitutional rights the rest of us have. When given free speech, they simply lie and incite violence. When given the right to bear arms, they look for excuses to murder their fellow Americans. What happened today is 30+ years of con stupidity coming home to roost. We need to have a real discussion in this country about if maybe the constitution should really apply equally to everyone. Or if some people simply aren't intelligent enough to handle it. This might sound "smug" but it might also be necessary. Europe does not allow absolute freedom of speech of ideas. Now we see why. Maybe they are onto something. This may mean actually barring people who have certain beliefs from even being able to run for office. And restricting certain ideas from being broadcast over the airwaves. Freedom comes with responsibilities. And conservatives have demonstrated over and over again they simply aren't intelligent enough to handle those responsibilities. We don't allow anyone under the age of 18 to vote on the understanding that they are not mature enough to make an informed decision about picking responsible leaders. Yet we let grown adults many years older than that run and vote for candidates who believe things that are clearly not true.


Before anyone dismisses this as "fascist", can you honestly say this is any different than the world cons want to build themselves? Firing college professors for accepting climate change is real. Barring the teaching of evolution. Or acknowledging homosexuality exists. Banning books from libraries. Outlawing anything they deem pornographic. No matter how broadly they define that term. For all their talk about "cancel culture", conservatives invented the concept. And for things way more ridiculous than we use it for. Ask yourself this: Do you really want to go through what we went through today every election year? Because that's what we're staring down the barrel of if we don't change. We tried letting every idiotic and false idea have an equal platform with the truth. This is the result. Some people just aren't intelligent enough to tell when they are being lied to. And it's clearly too large a percentage of the population to dismiss.

The problem with this idea, and the reason our system is built around freedom (even to be an idiot or an a##hole), is because the question then becomes: who gets to decide? Who decides which ideas bar you from running for office? Who decides which citizens get fewer rights than others, and which? Even trying to do this would make the rest of us no better than those storming the capitol yesterday or begging for the military to intervene and overturn the vote. Even if your ideas and behavior (other than in this instance) are rationally and morally superior doing this would make you as authoritarian as the worst actors on the other side, just a better brand. Some might be comfortable with that, and many others can certainly understand the emotion (especially this soon after what happened). But actually doing so, even with good intentions, would be wrong. And then there's the possibility that you don't get to decide, the other side does. That's why we have free speech, freedom of (and from) religion, etc. To protect the weakest among us from the tyranny of the majority and the moment.

This is not the first time people went on an online political-related rant, made some threats, and actually acted on them. But the media will act like it's completely new. All the more reason to invoke the 25th amendment and get rid of Trump immediately, because while he’s been banned from Twitter and Facebook, he still has access to the goddamn nuclear codes. No, they’re liars, plain and simple. They knew Trump had his lemmings in a rage after two months of screaming bloody murder almost daily about how the election had been “stolen” from him, and all it took was the spark of that rally to turn that pent up fury into a conflagration. And those cowards KNEW it would happen.
