It's been pretty wild seeing the business world turn on the Trump name this week as well as some of the politicians enabling this stuff. After the 6th, it looks like Trump and those in his orbit are now seen as a liability as companies seem to want to avoid financial and legal exposure. That's about as close to a conscience as Capitalism gets.

A Bernie Sanders voter and a Trump fan can go with four bucks to a supermarket and buy a gallon of milk.
Not if the Trump fan won't wear a mask. And violating rules and norms is why they are kicked off twitter.

I should note, Republicans still have the option to NOT BE REPUBLICANS.

Like all the people abandoning your party and switching affiliation right now? Because with Sheldon Adelson dying and all corporate sponsors pulling donations, maybe the writing is on the wall? DeVos and Chao and Chad Wolf ran for the exit.

Or would other GOP members obstinately ride this fall all the way to the bottom? Because wouldn't you know it, Trump's approval ratings have finally started to crater. He's in the mid 30s, and getting lower. But not accepting blame for your own blatant attempt at a violent coup will do that.

The Tea Party was a cynical construct by billionaires to get Obama hating assholes to vote for the GOP so they could get their coporate and millionaire tax cuts and install pro-corporate judges. But in the last ten years, the majority of GOP Congress people and Senators are now Tea Partiers. The ruse has consumed the Republican Party. Last Wednesday's vote in the House and the reluctance of all but GOP Senators going along with the "election fraud" bullshit and now not asking for Trump to resign is clear evidence.

And Trump just keeps up his Bullshit and people keep buying it.

Saying the Impeachment is part of the greatest political witch hunt in history. And the impeachment is making many people mad.

At this point he just does not know how to shut up. i know we have seen that for years. but even after all of this a even partly sane man would shut the Hell up. I mean it is not just a matter of not shutting up. But the fact he really believes he did nothing wrong, and that he is the victim.

Not surprising though. Your profits are never secure under a dictator.

Everyone saw Melania as nothing more than a golddigger, brainless arm candy for a billionaire and had been put into a role she was woefully unprepared for, and I’ll admit that was my opinion on her as well. But, she wasted no time debasing everyone of the opinion she was an innocent waif in woods, from plagiarizing Michelle Obama’s speech at the 2016 RNC, her infamous “I Don’t Care” coat, the “I hate Chreestmas” rant and more, Melania has shown herself to be every bit as repellent and repugnant as her loathsome husband. The sooner she’s relieved of her duties as First Lady, the better.
I was feeling sorry for her at first and thought she was a bit fed up with her husband when we saw the video of her slapping his hand away on one of their overseas appearances. But no more. She is the most inconsequential FLOTUS in contemporary times. Her "Be Best" campaign seemed to be partially aimed at her husband since it was against cyberbullying. She never really made a full scale campaign with it. She spent most of her time secluded away somewhere when she wasn't seen walking with her husband to the helicopter to take them to Air Force One. The story is that during last week's events she was preparing for a coffee table book about her interior decorating, overseeing a photo shoot of rugs.

Republican Staten Island candidate apologizes for Hitler reference

A GOP candidate for Staten Island, N.Y., borough president on Monday issued an apology for reportedly shouting “Heil Hitler” in a Facebook video while calling on people to push back against local coronavirus safety restrictions.

In a video from a Dec. 2 protest on Staten Island over the closure of the restaurant Mac’s Public House, Leticia Remauro, who served as a campaign aide to Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-N.Y.), can be seen shouting in defense of the business defying New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s (D) COVID-19 safety rules.

“We’re with the small business community, with Staten Island to stand up for our right — the right to pay taxes so that we can pay the salaries of these good men and women,” Remauro says in the video as police officers stand in the background. “They are just doing their job.”

“But, not for nothing. Sometimes you got to say,'Heil Hitler!' Not a good idea to send me here,” Remauro said in the video.

She did destroy the Rose Garden and built a useless tennis pavilion. Those are her main accomplishments.

Capitalism is always out for #1, itself. The capitalist always wants the workers of their rival corporation to be treated and paid better, and work fewer hours than its own workers. A capitalist would be fine if there was socialism for everyone else so long as one corporation, itself, gets to do as it pleases.

So this isn't capitalism with a conscience, this is self-preservation. Think about it if Trump, a failing businessman takes over the US Government and becomes dictator, what's to stop Trump from going "Disney is mine, oh Silicon Valley is now Ivanka Valley...twitter is mine too, so is Amazon". Trump is a crook and a thief, envious and covetous of other people's money. Jeff Bezos or Elon Musk might dream of dictatorship but the owners of Google or Jack Dorsey, or the Walt Disney Corporation for that matter would not want Bezos or Musk, and Trump to be dictator.

They could become Independents, they could form a new party like how the Republicans originated by splitting off the Whig Party. They could, I dunno, hijack the Libertarians and make them viable, why not? Paul Ryan for instance was more libertarian. In his time as Speaker, he passed the major tax cuts but failed to repeal Obama care and otherwise didn't pass any major legislation on the cultural issues that GOP wingnuts care about but which Ryan and other oligarchs see as useful stooges for their true goal. Ryan's bad enough but Kevin McCarthy is even worse than him and I do not like the idea of him becoming House Speaker at any time in the future.

It's not about not accepting blame...it's that Trump isn't even justifying or denying it, basically acting like he has impunity to do as he wishes.

And of course her Rose Garden got comemorated as the site of a major super-spreader event.

    Two things about a narcissist
    1. It's not that he doesn't know whether what he's done might be wrong, he simply does not care. He insists he's in the right, because doing otherwise might interfere with him getting what he wants.
    2. He can't lay silent, because that undermines his sense of his power. If there's a conversation and his voice isn't prominent, it diminishes his sense of importance, which is simply anathema to a narcissist
