As Stacey Abrams said, it’s “Jim Crow in a suit and tie.”
No doubt about that. Qpublicans aren't even bothering to hide it anymore. They know these slimy tactics are the ONLY way they can win elections.

"We"? Not quite. I liked Biden and what he had to offer, there was no hesitation for me once he became the candidate.

At the very least, if you were gonna vote for Trump because some damned dirty socialist was promising health care and free college, don't act like you are all relieved that he's gone, you aren't fooling anyone.

Clearly I was talking about Sanders and Warren supporters. Though if you actually supported Biden as a candidate and not just because you wanted anyone who could beat Trump, you'd be the first one that I am aware of.

Many, if not most Dems supported Biden when he got the nomination, even if the supported another candidate first. And not through gritted teeth or clenched fists.

Just caught Jen Psaki on MSNBC...

While she ran off a list of "Root Causes..." of people leaving South America, "Internal United States Policy..." was nowhere to be found on her list.

Serious downer when it seems like this will be one more administration that won't really level with folks about why everything South of the United States border is a train wreck.

Sanders actually had an approach to contend with when that reality was obviously going to come to pass.

Biden seems fine with saying "Well, I Gave It A Try..."

    What was Sanders' approach?

    Incidentally, I'm not suggesting otherwise.

I'm relieved to have a President I like.

I probably wouldn't be happy with a President Warren or Sanders as they're to Biden's left, and less disciplined. But if Warren or Sanders supporters got their way last March, I wouldn't have to worry about them being President. It would still be Trump (compare Katie Porter's election results in the 45th congressional district to Biden's for an estimate of how more progressive candidates fare), likely with enough coattails to take back the House, certainly with enough coattails to keep the Senate, without the damage to his reputation of the January 6 riots, and you know he would be claiming credit for the vaccine rollout and bragging about his gains with BIPOC voters.
    Sincerely,
    Thomas Mets

The country is already filled with enough self-hate, internal violence, and conspiracy theories. No sense sending out dog whistles to those within by saying things like, yeah this country is horrible and deserves to be attacked by militants looking to destroy it.

Seriously, we have enough trouble as is. Leave the self-flagellation for others.

If you are ever actually going to get serious about addressing any of this?

Something is going to need to change.

While I would just shake my head at what is in blue?

Biden himself pointed out that his ancestors came to the States because of "The Brits..."

It's way, way past time to get real about that we are "The Brits..." in this instance.

You're so relieved that Trump isn't around anymore that you're gloating about how badly he would've beaten Bernie. This is why people like you can never be trusted.

Then we should be doing something to fix those problems instead of just pretending they don't exist, that's how we got here in the first place.

Do you know that we aren't? That the Biden Administration isn't aware and is dealing with it? If a reporter wants to ask about it, I'm sure they will get a reasonable, honest answer. Until then, I'd take the Biden Admin at it's word that it is planning on doing everything it can to deal with the situation appropriately.

It's good to know that people on the supposed left still hold black voters in the south with such contempt.

You become a WH Correspondent, go to a press conference, and ask these questions. All I'm saying is that no sense in answering a question that hasn't been asked yet. No sense stirring up controversy needlessly. You can't assume that nothing is being done when it is clear that they are determined to do something.

If you are not happy about what is being done, or how it's being done, find a way to get the message out there. Talk to someone in government, you might even be able to do a FOIA request for documents related to what you are concerned about.

Can you elaborate on what you mean by this?
