Look at South Korea. The United States and South Korea got hit on the same day, and they're down to zero cases and us, not so much.

Trump doesn't want mass testing because it'll make him look even worse. So people died, and more will die, just so Trump can bury his head in the sand and pray that the economy will recover enough for him to get re-elected.

The death count would almost certainly have been lower. Clinton would not have been dismissing the warnings that were being given in January, would not have been having the Feds stealing medical supplies from the states, and probably would have used the Defense Production Act both earlier in the crisis and for more than one or two companies that managed to anger him recently.

Trump's insistence that he knows more than the experts, among his other negative qualities have made this much more serious than it would otherwise have been. A random person off of the street could probably have done a much better job than Trump has done.

All of you have obviously been corrupted by the lamestream media!! If Clinton was president she obviously would have ordered doctors, nurses and border protection to stand down - communicated from her personal email account. Fauci would've probably done some whistleblowing but he would have been assassinated by Clinton while she chilled out in a pizzeria.

The Great Man has obviously handled this better - he is a very stable genius, after all. Fake news.

For Christ's sake, the Obama administration treated people for Ebola without it getting unleashed across the country, and the death toll of Americans was... what, 1?

That can happen when you have people in place to prevent outbreaks, don't fire them and not replace them, listen to experts, and come up with sound plans for combating the illness, whatever it is.

Anyone who makes excuses for what's going to be 100K+ deaths when you can look at countries that are, at this point, recovered from this outbreak like South Korea.

Well, I imagine you'd bend yourself over into any knot possible for Trump. Who should, at this point, be f***ing inexcusable.

HE. TOLD. PEOPLE. THEY. COULD. INJECT. THEMSELVES. WITH. DISINFECTANT.

You think Hillary Clinton would have done that? Doesn't sound like something she would come up with. Trump, meanwhile, says windmills cause cancer, and more buildings need to have asbestos in them.

    Just... no excuse.

    Hm.

I might be wrong, but think you might be the only person (so far) to ask TriggerWarning why he feels that way about Mrs. Clinton.

If so, why do you feel they owe you an explanation before the question was even raised?
Why do you feel they owe you an explanation at all?

By the way - what's an acceptable answer to your Hillary question? What answer would you respect?

    Yeah, but Clinton?

She had the political ambition of a man.

At least Vader knew that when you had to use a mask for reasons outside your control you FUCKING left it on or risk death soon after.

These last two sentences are kind of contradictory.

And yes, in states like New York, Massachusetts, California, and many southern states, the electoral votes are all going to the Dem or Republican candidate, election after election. Your vote in those places is mostly to say you voted for X. (I think you might find a lot of people who are more particular with their vote in those states who would be much more pragmatic if they moved to someplace like Ohio.)

And even outside of the Presidential election, it can still be more complicated than that. A few elections ago, when there was no chance Cuomo would lose the gubernatorial race, there was, ironically, more a single vote could do if it was cast for the Green Party, namely help to generate enough votes in a statewide election so the party could maintain automatic ballot access.

Prominent lawyer, Trump donor representing Biden accuser

WASHINGTON (AP) — Tara Reade, a former Senate staffer who alleged Joe Biden sexually assaulted her 27 years ago, is being represented by a prominent lawyer and political donor to President Donald Trump’s 2016 Republican campaign.

Attorney Douglas Wigdor told The Associated Press he was not currently being paid for his work with Reade. His firm also denied there was a political motivation for his decision to represent Reade in her accusations against Trump’s presumptive Democratic opponent in the November election.

“We have decided to take this matter on because every survivor has the right to competent counsel,” the firm said in a statement.
Over the weekend, another attorney, William Moran, told the AP he was working with Reade.

Moran, who works at a law firm in Columbia, Maryland, previously wrote and edited for Sputnik, a news agency founded and supported by the Russian state-owned media company Rossiya Segodnya. A January 2017 report released by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence on Russia’s interference in the 2016 campaign said Sputnik was part of “Russia’s state-run propaganda machine,” which “contributed to the influence campaign by serving as a platform for Kremlin messaging to Russian and international audiences.”

Reade herself has faced questions about her past writing praising Russian President Vladimir Putin. Reade on Thursday expressed concern to Kelly about having been “called a Russian agent” and said she had received a death threat from someone who “thought I was being a traitor to America.”

There is no evidence to suggest Reade or Moran worked at the behest of Russia with respect to the Biden allegation.

Clinton didn't need magic to do this, just common sense. W Bush could do this, it's not hard. But Donald is a man who lost money on casinos so saving lives during a pandemic is above his pay grade.
