On this date in 2020, as well as 2021,“Fanatical Republican Extremist of the Day” first profiled Gail Griffin, a member of the Arizona House of Representatives from District 14 who has bounced around the Arizona state legislature in either chamber on and off since 1997 (she has one term of eligibility left in the lower chamber, and is already term-limited from ever serving again in the Arizona State Senate.) And, it takes a special kind of stupid to stand out among Arizona Republicans to get a FRED profile, but Griffin, whose brain may be under undue pressure from the helmet of hair she’s sporting, managed to get our notice in early January of 2019 when she filed a bill to try and pay for Donald Trump’s stupid f***ing idea for a wall on the U.S./Mexico border by establishing a new tax on… INTERNET PORN.

Now, this is dumb for a lot of reasons. First off, she’s xenophobic and dumb enough to support the border wall at all. But second, she wants to pay for it be taxing porn? Even if this wasn’t patently unconstitutional… does she not realize how impossible it is to regulate internet porn in the first place? It’s not like finding nudes online is a difficult task these days, even with a Safesearch on, people can get an eyeful.

Griffin also has caused controversy by trying to redraw county lines to get tax breaks for people living on the borders who were unhappy with how much they were being charged.

Anyway, Gail Griffin is also trying to get legislation passed to forbid cities and municipalities from placing regulations upon apartment landlords to protect the public from unfair housing practices, And has sponsored legislation to make it easier for landlords to evict guests of tenants. During Griffin’s career, she also has sponsored legislation to allow the sale of firearms without a background check, tried to challenge the protected status of the endangered species of Mexican wolves, and she has also co-sponsored legislation to name an official state gun, to try to force physicians to attempt to revive a “viable fetus” after an abortion (regulations being what they are, no fetus that is being aborted by a doctor is “viable”), and a racist and patently unconstitutional bill to try to make English the official language of the state. She has also voted for bills as insane as trying to establish that gold and silver to be accepted as legal tender, and continues to resurrect anti-immigrant bills originally submitted by recalled Arizona state legislator Russell Pearce. (Yes, that would be the white nationalist Russell Pearce who had a Neo-Nazi protegee.)

In 2020, Griffin focused on the threat of Covid-19…. HAHAHA just kidding, she was focused on trying to ban transgender youths from participating in public school sports, and in trying to create a new holiday where there would be a day of remembrance for “victims of communism. She’s currently busy making sure that “Critical Race Theory” is banned from being taught in schools (even though no one was teaching it) and she finally did something regarding Covid-19… she voted for a bill so that businesses could ignore mask mandates from city officials.

We are hoping that Gail Griffin will finally be term-limited and forced into retirement after 2022.

After the Insurrection: How Domestic Extremists Adapted and Evolved After the January 6 US Capitol Attack

This report by the Digital Forensic Research Lab (DFRLab) provides an overview and analysis of the shifts observed in domestic extremist movements since the 2021 Capitol attack. As noted in the National Strategy for Countering Domestic Terrorism, domestic extremist threats include groups and individuals “whose racial, ethnic, or religious hatred leads them toward violence” and those who incite “imminent violence in opposition to legislative, regulatory, or other actions taken by the government,” including self-proclaimed militias, “sovereign citizen” movements, and others promoting fringe ideological grievances. This research is informed by continued online monitoring and analysis of extremist individuals, groups, and movements, and how their online behavior influences offline activities. Daily monitoring efforts, primarily comprising open-source and investigative reporting, began in the latter half of 2020 and continued through the entirety of 2021, producing a comprehensive record of extremist movements online that informed this report, as well as other efforts to combat the threats that domestic extremist movements pose to democracy and public safety. v

Kelly Ernby, former Orange County GOP state Assembly candidate and deputy D.A., dies of COVID-19

Kelly Ernby, a political newcomer who ran for an Orange County state Assembly seat two years ago as a Republican, died this week of COVID-19. In addition to political activism, she worked for 10 years as an O.C. deputy district attorney.

Ernby, a Huntington Beach resident, was 46.

“The Orange County district attorney’s office is utterly heartbroken by the sudden and unexpected passing of Deputy Dist. Atty. Kelly Ernby,” Dist. Atty. Todd Spitzer said in a statement. “Kelly was an incredibly vibrant and passionate attorney who cared deeply about the work that we do as prosecutors — and deeply about the community we all fight so hard to protect.”

Spitzer praised Ernby’s enthusiasm as part of his agency’s Environmental Protection Team and called it an “absolute privilege” to work alongside her

    adjective
Intending or intended to subvert an established order, especially to undermine or overthrow an established government.
Tending to subvert; having a tendency to overthrow and ruin.

No mention of those that have infiltrated the political order through false elections. When the Taliban becomes the government who the terrorists are is just a matter of name calling.

State monopoly on violence is a monarchist tradition, "la puissance absolue et perpetuelle d'une République", that has never been questioned in all entities concerned with consolidating power.

From the early Whisky Rebellion, Lincoln suspension of habeas corpus through Wilson's Sedition Act on to the establishment of the bureaucratic spy Agencies of today - government legalizes suppression of dissent and freedom when and where ever it is under real threat to its standing. Now more than even when the legitimacy of entire democratic process is in the hands of such questionable people do people need to get ready to take back power.

Hey, trollish word salad, your point/comparison to the Taliban is both apt and rather moot given that the insurrectionists failed. So they're the terrorists, thanks.

LOL - what a surprise self serving categories of righteous indignation being ignored equals the worst.

Rose to monumental challenges - Operation Warp speed, Houston we now have a vaccine.

Made the country, maybe the world a better place in some lasting way, especially if they fixed issues before becoming too big.

NATO begins to pay its own way

Didn't mess things up - not bad, but never given the opportunity to prove themselves as anything potentially great. - Put China on the map of Enemies of US interests.

Left the country a worse place than they found - Never was able to stop the flow of illegal crossings due to the Wall failure and getting Congress on board.

Stolen Election = Fall Of Kabul
These political hitlists and Bills like HR 1 or John Lewis Voting to Secure the Steal are just power plays to scare people from standing up.

What in the world is up with AOC and her odd tweets about people bashing her boyfriends only do so because they are upset they cant have sex with her and the reason Republican's dont like her other women and LTGB+ is because they are all sexually frustrated and need therapy?

Odd to say people are attacking her boyfriend because they want to sleep with her.

I mean, she's noticed, and not thrilled about it.

plz this is just more of the Celb crying for being treated for the image they themselves have created, in this case like the photo above and in the aptly titled Vanity Fair and the photos of Mark Peterson. She has made trade of political views for being a hot young thing in the repressed halls of government and now wants to be "respected" and have the boys wonder what her tramp stamp looks like.

    It depends.

It is worth noting that Republicans are given a better shot of taking back the House than taking back the Senate. So it is telling that Democratic Senators are more eager to stay in, and Republican Senators are readier to go.

Pat Toomey had been in favor of term limits before, so it is consistent for him.

Senators are also running for a six year term, so it's not just about whether they can do the job in 2023 but whether they can do it in December 2028. Shelby is in 87, so it certainly makes sense for him to think he won't be a good Senator in seven years.
    Sincerely,
    Thomas Mets
