You can stop gaslighting us all any day now, Mets. As the 1/6 hearings continue, you're gonna throw out your back trying to carry water for your party doing this sort of thing on their behalf.

It's sad that during the moment of silence for hose who died on Jan. 6th, 2021, the only Republicans who were present in the room were Liz and Dick Cheney. The party are this committed to the Big Lie.

Meanwhile, Alleged child sex trafficker Matt Gaetz had a press conference with Marjorie Taylor-Greene where they portrayed the events of the day as a conspiracy theory set up by the FBI with "boobytraps" and called the media's truthful reports of what happened "Blood Libel". Yes, they used the old anti-Semitic term to defend folks who stormed the Capiitol on Trump's behalf in Camp Auschwitz shirts.

Meanwhile "we" celebrate the the Trash that took to the streets in the name of civil rights and accomplished what exactly - Frankly I support direct action as the activists call it but it should accomplish something or near do so.

Except what happened on 1/6 wasn't a riot. It was a planned domestic terror attack carried out as a coup attempt by a malignant narcissist who botched a pandemic response that got hundreds of thousands killed, and that's how he lost a fair and legitimate election.

You can cease your nonsensical "both sides" flailing now.

On that topic, I'm curious as to your specific objections to how the November 2020 election and the results were handled. It can be a bit of a dodge to defend others (in your case the January 6 rioters) since you're not committing to their viewpoint.
The dismissal of so many cases and investigations and the paltry power to call for a review of the electors that resulted. Cruz last night reminded people that he was on the floor that day objecting to the count and asked that the precedent that created the EC act, that some want to now reform, be followed as means of resolving the question of the election. Rushing Biden into office was part of the plan in the document that I have cited (TIP) a number of times on wargaming the election day results. Access to the facts has been held back by legal obstacles that are creating a Catch-22 logic to undermine confidence still.

Perdue, for instance, is claiming that sixteen Fulton County election officials, whom he has identified by name, counted and certified “unlawful counterfeit absentee ballots.” In so doing, he has joined a trend of vilifying election administrators which you have in past called for as the "who" of the conspiracy. Democrats are now scrambling to make that naming illegal. Those ballots are legally counted and therefore officially protected from investigation. This kind of circularity is exactly what the summer lawsuits sought to prevent from happening but Democrat lawyers bolstered the "protections" and so we had things like https://www.thedailybeast.com/judge-...ity?ref=scroll
a cybersecurity analysis that found flaws in Georgia’s voting machines and warns about the potential for future attacks. But a federal judge has sealed the report, and her attempt to shield the public from bad faith efforts to undermine the 2020 election could instead fuel the conspiracy theory dumpster fires—and keep the voting machine maker from figuring out how to fix it.
It is not any coincidence either that such battles are located in EC important states

On this date in 2015, “Fanatical Republican Extremist of the Day” ran a profile of Chris Mapp, a former candidate for U.S. Senate in Texas whose opinion of President Obama was that he was "a socialist son of a bitch" and his immigration policy as literally "shoot wetbacks on sight". After the latter comment drew widespread criticism for publishing that latter opinion in an editorial, Mapp defended the term, saying using it in Texas was "as easy as breathing air", before updating his campaign website to tell poor people to "GET UP OFF YOUR DEAD ASS AND GET TO WORK". Alas, Sen. John Cornyn had little trouble advancing past Mapp in the GOP Primary, and he only got 1.8% of the vote. Since we haven't seen Mapp emerge to run for any office since.

On this date in 2016, “Fanatical Republican Extremist of the Day” posted a profile of Pete Brunstetter, a former North Carolina State Senator who sponsored an attempt to create an amendment to the state constitution ban same sex marriage. That's not the worst part... the reason for his gay marriage opposition per his wife in multiple statements is so that Caucasians will not be outpaced in breeding by minorities. Brunstetter survived the controversy to win re-election in 2012, but then resigned his office in 2013, halfway through the term, to take a job working as an executive at Novant Health.

On this date in both 2017, 2018, 2019, as well as 2020, “Fanatical Republican Extremist of the Day” published its first profile of Colorado State Senator Owen Hill, who was first elected to that office back in 2012. Briefly in 2014, he entered the race for the U.S. Senate before backing out after recordings of Owen Hill at a Republican fundraiser discussing his time doing volunteer work in Nairobi that threw fuel on the Birther conspiracy theory, as he said, "You spend time out there in a Kenyan slum and little kids are running around barefoot in these kinds of streets and you ask them what they want to be, they want to be an astronaut, they want to be a physicist, a marine biologist, one kid even told me he wanted to be President of the United States. I held back my snarky comment that said ‘Well, you know what, we already have someone from Kenya as President of the United States.'" When those comments came to light and Hill was called out for participating in racist conspiracy talk, he refused to apologize for it, and claimed it was an overreaction from "radicals" working for Mark Udall's campaign. Anyway, as a legislator, Hill voted for an attempt to allow students to introduce religious counterarguments during science class in schools, voted against HB 1224, an effort to limit the size of ammunition magazines after the shooter in the Aurora massacre killed dozens of people with such a capability, voted to cravenly defend the right of domestic violence offenders to continue to keep their guns, and co-sponsored SB 268, an end-around attempt to overturn Roe v. Wade by changing the definition of a "person" in assault and homicides to include fetuses. Bizarrely, Hill made news in 2017 for co-sponsoring a new bill that would legalize the carrying of switchblades and omit them from the classification as a “deadly weapon” because… well, we don’t know. I guess he’s in the pro-stabbing lobby, which seems odd for a guy who purports himself to be pro-life. So pro-life, in fact, that in 2018, he voted against establishing grants to fund suicide prevention funding for schools in Colorado. t? Owen Hill had another failed attempt to get elected to U.S. Senate in 2018 instead going out in flames trying to run to the right of for U.S. House Rep. Doug Lamborn in Colorado’s 5th Congressional District. Owen Hill’s career ended with a whimper as he faced term limits in the Colorado State Senate in 2020. As such, we’ll set aside his profile and take a look at another kooky Republican today instead. (Current crazy/stupid scoreboard, is now 952-45, since this was established in July 2014.

On this date one year ago, “Fanatical Republican Extremist of the Day” first profiled New Jersey State Senator Michael Doherty, who has represented District 23 in that body since 2009, and prior to that, served six years in the New Jersey General Assembly. He has yet to have any success in running for offices higher than that, but was rumored to be a Republican candidate for Governor of New Jersey in 2017, and in 2012, had a failed bid for U.S. Senate where he dropped out of the race prior to the primary. Frankly, though, we’re pretty sure he’s doomed his chances of becoming a candidate for statewide office in a state as blue as New Jersey, given some of the s*** he’s said and done to embrace the “Trump Republican” brand the past three years or so.

Before we dive into the things that he made news for, we’ll peek at his career as a legislator, and note how Doherty’s voting record has featured a lot of “NO” votes as the politics of his state have evolved past noted douchebag Governor Chris Christie. Through the past several years, Michael Doherty has been fiercely consistent in anti-LGBTQ votes, opposing one to approve same sex marriage, voting against a ban on gay conversion therapy, voting against approving changes to a person’s gender on birth certificates, and voting against a bill to prevent discrimination against transgender students in schools. His opposition to LGBTQ people having, y’know, rights, is not the only thing he’s been strictly opposed to, as he has voted against every prospective minimum wage increase in the state legislature since he took office, and shockingly, he also voted against a bill to outlaw child marriage in the state.

But we noticed something else in Michael Doherty’s voting record… he seems to be absent whenever there’s a vote he isn’t bold enough to state a position on. When a bill to ban 3D printed firearms dropped? Well, that’s just common sense. COMMON SENSE THE NRA WOULD GIVE YOU LESS THAN AN “A” RATING FOR. So Doherty, the coward that he is, didn’t show up that day. When a bill dropped that law enforcement officers should go through diversity training? Hey, in these times where cops are killing people of color and folks like Donald Trump wouldn’t care much if they did… that’s just common sense. COMMON SENSE LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS WOULD THROW A FIT ABOUT. So, again, Michael Doherty just decided to stay at home like Ferris Bueller putting the thermometer on the light bulb, but without the charm of a young Matthew Broderick.

The past three years, however, Michael Doherty has made headlines on two issues for being a dumbs***, for lack of a better term. The first, in January of 2018, was the “re-aligning as a Trump Republican” we were mentioning. In a profile in a newspaper, Doherty went on a rant against immigrants, lamenting how “people want to feel comfortable with their culture,” so he opposed increasing immigration from “non-European” nations that are not part of a "Judeo-Christian culture." And… that’s the sort of s*** that former Iowa Congressman Steve King would say after hanging out with European white nationalists. A few days later, during a debate in the New Jersey State Senate over pay equality for women, Michael Doherty unironically started to frame the argument how he was a victim of “bullying” for being a white man.

2018, however, was nothing compared to September of 2020, when of all times, Michael Doherty thought while giving a speech on 9-11, he should go ahead and make as many insane statements about the BlackLivesMatter movement as possible, bizarrely calling it “Marxist”, while insisting that the idea that the United States suffers from systemic racism is an “evil lie. Not for nothing, but we really shouldn’t be surprised, considering this ***hole pulled his “absent” trick on voting for a Juneteenth holiday as well. Seems like he’s getting more and more racist by the day.

And stupid, as well. While New Jersey’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic has been one of the better ones across the country, through the entire crisis, Michael Doherty has been an anti-mask moron harming public trust in the measures taken by Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy to encourage people to wear them and save lives. Doherty said mask mandates were a “clear and present danger to New Jersey in July of 2020, which is a term usually reserved for terror attacks. One of the other big steps taken by sane members of New Jersey’s state government was to increase access to mail-in voting so everyone wouldn’t avoid the polls for fear of catching the virus, or worse, stand in line at them and have it turn into a super-spreader event in early November. Guess which craven piece of garbage was not present to vote on the measure to increase it? MICHAEL DOHERTY, AGAIN.

Election Day came and went, and the guy Michael Doherty has rebranded himself in the spirit of, Donald Trump, lost in what he himself by seven million votes, and what he himself describes as an electoral “landslide”. Thereafter, what do you think Doherty, the guy who didn’t show up to vote for mail-in voting did? If you guessed started spreading conspiracy theories about election fraud and pushing back on the idea that Joe Biden would be our 46th president, you guessed right.

We’re closing out today’s profile by pointing out that while being an incredibly racist, sea-worthy douche-canoe that thinks white men are the real victims like Michael Dougherty does has, at this point, not been a problem for his re-election through 2023 because his district is 90% white. He still has not faced a challenger in a Republican primary in over a decade. Until some mythical Republican willing to stand up to the worst people in his own party emerges, the people of his district might want to take a long look at themselves in the mirror and decide if they can still vote a guy who’s embracing white nationalism into office, or decide maybe it’s a good time to start embracing a party that actually cares if they live or die of coronavirus. It really shouldn’t be a tough choice. But then again, Doherty is living in a parallel reality where social media companies are discriminating against conservatives by not letting them spew hate, so there’s that.

no flailing needed for the overwhelming scenes of mayhem and ill that was unleashed with the tacit support of the Democat leadership and media. People heard it and saw it as a testament of the distorted lengths that the DNC would go to to take power away from Trump and Floyd was the tool. Is it any wonder people believe that Democrats would also rig an election?

Your definition of 'rigging an election' was by winning more votes with grass roots effort. That's not how it's actually defined, thanks.

Suppose the mob had been able to breach the chambers of the House before the staff evacuated. The "idiots on those photos" could then have destroyed at least some of the boxes of Electoral ballots. Those States would have had to repeat their Electoral college voting, which is just what the keep-Trump-in-office schemers were trying to make happen. Also, suppose the mob had effectively destroyed the building (as it was, they caused $1M worth of damage, didn't they?) or actually killed some members of Congress, as they were threatening to do? (Remember, they had already seriously hurt about a hundred Capitol police, a couple of whom died.) Trump could have used that as a reason to declare a national emergency and impose martial law. Once again, this would have stopped the certification process. What would have happened next is anyone's guess.

To say nothing of the militita groups who turned up with zip ties looking for either hostages or a way to take "prisoners" out to the gallows they set up.
