So, 11 Secret Service agents have tested positive and Ivanka's personal assistant as well. This is getting closer and closer.
Meanwhile, with other assholes, here's Devin Nunes!
And here's Royal Court Suckup, Matt Gatez!"The Democrats are cowering at home right now and it makes no sense, because we've learned so much ... we have ventilators." -- Devin Nunes says House Democrats should suck it up & travel back to DC, because even if they get Covid they can just be put on a ventilator, easy peasy.
"We are inspired by our president ... what advice would you give us to try to get have our Democratic leadership behave more like the governors you've worked with?" -- Matt Gaetz's praise of Dear Leader Trump would be a bit much for Pyongyang politicians

Put it to you like this-if black folks had voted-Trump would have lost. White voter turn out stayed the same. Asian & Hispanic voting went up.
https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tan...-cast-ballots/
4.4 million didn't bother to vote.
Someone posted a pic of the number of votes she lost by and how many did not vote. I think if less than 10% of nonvoters had voted-she wins.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...of-them-black/
And lets not forget the don't vote party led by many notable blacksTrump’s margin of victory was one of the narrowest in U.S. history. It came down to about 78,000 votes in three states, including Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. It’s hard not to wonder, then, how the decrease in turnout among black voters might have affected the outcome. In Michigan, where 14 percent of residents are black, Trump won by 10,704 votes of 4.8 million cast. In Pennsylvania, he won by 44,000 of 6.2 million cast — with blacks making up more than a tenth of the population.

Other Blacks with sizable platforms also did their part to encourage a low Black voter turnout by explicitly advocating for people not to vote or implying that it wouldn’t make any difference if Blacks didn’t vote. Some of the prominent figures who engaged in this support of voter apathy included Colin Kaepernick, Dr. Boyce Watkins, and Nick Cannon among others. These individuals certainly do great work in other areas, but their potential influence over some segments of the Black electorate was not helpful for voter turnout.
Ironically, many proponents of the “don’t vote” campaign are now complaining about Donald Trump. Elections have serious consequences.
Let's not forget voter suppression in those states as well. I don't know the extent in Michigan, but I am aware of the effect in Pennsylvania, and no state outside the former Confederacy has been as heavy handed as Wisconsin. I'm not sure if ANY state surpasses the levels Wisconsin has gone through to ensure minority rule.
Dark does not mean deep.
Eh.
I like The Hill well enough, but I was pretty surprised to learn they host this type of programming.
Political Punditry, even you like the flavor, does not allow for nuance, is generally dishonest, and should largely be ignored.
Oh noes!
A young twenty-something got drunk and engaged in perfectly risque behaviour!
Somebody call a Congressional Ethics hearing STAT!!
Yeah.
The Pew graph shows black voter turn out for 2016 to be only slightly lower than that of 2004.
I wonder who ran in 2008 and 2012 that would drive up the black vote so much?
Wisconsin is a particular can of worms.
While I'm not gonna post the news piece again, there was a solid piece on why minority folks in Wisconsin might be an issue in the General.
Sure, you could sit there and say "Anecdotal!..." That said, it doesn't take a huge amount of disillusioned minority voters to potentially hand a win to Trump.
Never mind the history of Presidential General Elections in that state or how the Democratic Primary had gone.
I noticed that the people who really badly wanted Sanders and nothing else have either ran off entirely or are hoping Biden quits.
He's not our best choice and, trust me, I'm not overly excited about him, but are you willing to put up with 4 more years of Trump just for the hopes you maybe get one more shot at Sanders being nominated?
Gee, maybe then you should spend days on end on this forum reminding everyone that Donald Trump has repeatedly had multiple affairs, paid for their silence illegally, and boasted of other women he's sexually assaulted. Y'know, if you were having a good faith argument for a change.

Or...
The instance involving Krystal isn't anything like a "Sex Scandal..."
Never mind the multiple instances(which I still haven't seen anything like something that would point to that there is more than the sole instance mentioned...) that would actually have to exist for it to be "Sex Scandals..."
Trying to paint the woman in question with that brush? That's bad enough.
Throwing in "Scandals..." when there is, maybe, one instance of anything like something that is even remotely scandalous?
Again, come on.
Since I supported(and still support) Sanders...
I don't want anything like Biden quitting(at least not over this...)
That said, the idea that Democrats that I've seen seem to be saying "This Has Been Addressed To My Satisfaction..." does make me rather uneasy. The assumption that there are issues that you have the means to overcome was a part of how Trump won last time out. I don't really think it is the wisest move to make those sorts of assumptions a second time.
That said, there is also that this looks like a two men in a race to lose a General Election a lot of the time when I am looking at it.
When it comes to trying to lose it? I do feel like Trump has a serious edge on Biden.
I know right now it's easy to say "I hope (blank) catches the covid," but be advised that I got a one week ban for saying something like that on this thread once and am now on my "last chance". The mods don't like it, and there be snitches.

Went back through the thread a short ways. Didn't seem like this has been mentioned. Apologies in advance if someone else has brought it up, and I am posting it a second time.

Guy Fieri Helps Raise $20M For Restaurant WorkersThe restaurateur whose start in the restaurant business goes back to Johnny Garlic's in Santa Rosa, helped launch an effort that has brought in $20 million in donations to support restaurant workers financially affected by the coronavirus crisis.
As many as 8 million workers in the U.S. food-service industry were left jobless overnight as public health orders shut down dine-in service.
Early in the crisis, Fieri partnered up with the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation which in turn launched the Restaurant Employee Relief Fund.
"He says they've already awarded more than 40,000 grants — worth $500 each — to workers facing extraordinary hardship due to the pandemic. Anyone who wants to donate to the cause or apply for a one-time grant can go here," TMZ reported.
So, in response to two Trump supporters lynching a black jogger and the authorities covering it up until video was leaked, MAGA twitter is finally spending some time on introspection and just how much they have been yelling fire in a crowded theater.
I kid.
They're making racist tweets where the word "jogger" replaces the N-Word.
